"I wanna fly high!"

A bit of SEGA history was revealed earlier this week when our friends at TSSZ News received photos from a former SEGA employee via Assembler Games. A prototype Saturn that had a net link built in is shown and is a working console. SEGA never released this publicly but now it's out there and known to the gaming world.

Yep, back in the good ol' days when SEGA made consoles and Pluto was a planet.

Yes, indeed.

So it took an ex-SEGA employee 10+ years for this to surface. I guess SEGA was just as secretive as Nintendo when it came to new products. I never had owned a Saturn console. I thought its library wasn't that impressive. The Dreamcast was a whole lot better. I planned on buying myself a Dreamcast, but never got around to it.

Prolly a bit late to contribute to this, but the existence of Pluto's been well documented in UK magazines since the late 90's. It was around then that codename Neptune was doing the rounds and many were led to believe the two were one and the same.

As it turns out, they were right xD

Who is Pooka?

I wonder how was it different to the Saturn other than being a prototype Saturn. You know, these prototypes sometimes raise the eyebrows, most notably with the differences between it and the final version.
