Not sure what is the name of Ninten's online service for some reason.

Anyways, which service you're rooting to, as the providers of digital game editions and online services?

Is it Steam, the dominant PC distribution center? Is it XBLA, the subscription based online service for the XBox consoles, or the PSN provided by Sony to their PlayStation based device?

Tell us here. I'm rooting to Steam because its free and is on PC, but it still has its downs like the lack of communications between the developers and the customers whenever there is a new beta.

As infuriating as Steam is, It's almost the only thing I use. You don't have to pay a dime to own it and there's a handful of free games out there that are not MMOs.

Yes, I do love to roleplay. I don't like any more than two people involved, and I'm more inclined to furry/sci-fi. PM or IM me if interested.

Steam is really troublesome I say. On my Windows 7 it starts normally then crashes, before I restart it again. Overlay doesn't work with some games (Binding of Isaac and any game for SEGA Genesis & Mega Drive Classics are an example), and...
Code:

/me
is removed and instead useless emoticons will take place for players with high badge levels (and starting a big scam wave), etc.

Valve might be a monopoly nowadays, but ugh, its still better than nothing.

And now I knew why the board game is called Monopoly!

I went with Steam. I'm a member there, because I read some very good things about it. For the time being, I don't use my account that much and I don't put it to good use at all. Hopefully in the future, I do plan to make good use of it. I don't think I'll become obsessed with it like many of the users on there.

Steam, because I don't own a console.

Even if I did, I wouldn't use its online mode save for getting a few older games.

I have used Playstation Network before and I didn't really like it. It's OK, but not that great at all. Their servers are bad and they have a rep for that. I remember I used to go on PSN when I used to play games online with my PS2. I didn't like how it was all laggy and sometimes the connection would drop.

It's no surprise Steam is winning in this poll.

Mick, your arguement is so wrong! Nobody's actually competing Steam, and that changes your arguement to "Steam isn't facing competition!"

I'm used to Steam, but that isn't much of a concern no matter how great it is. Some low downs about it include the DRM which requires the game to be logged into Steam. Steam can be played offline for around one week to two. And the whole accounts ordeal.

But at least you're not forced to use the XBLA, right?

Well, it's not surprising, considering that Steam is not in the same category as the other choices.

If you have a console, you're going to primarily use disks to play games (the world hasn't gone all digital yet), not the side-internet services. Steam, however, is an internet service. In fact, it's the internet (gaming) service.

A fairer question would pit Steam against the consoles themselves.

I didn't make create an argument. If so, I didn't intend on it. I just said that Steam is winning in this poll and I don't find it surprising since it's an excellent gaming service. I know they have competitors. I'm sure there's people who would never want to use Steam, so they prefer one of the other gaming services.

It's called Nintendo Network. :P

I went with Steam cause it has the best service out there, while others have tried to copy cat.

Name fixed, but no wonder Steam is facing no competition at all... XBox Live will be more closed source later, PSN, not sure, and Nintendo is family friendly.
