Who is Pooka?

I felt that such thread should exist after realizing that...

Flash Galaga wasn't really that good. I know of a vintage arcade experience called Galaga on the NES. Most of the time it would be picked as GOTW (game of the week) on another forum and scores soar to the forum. I remember when I fought in the high score lists like no tomorrow and when I was set back to 2nd and 3rd only to come back as 1st soon...

And suddenly, this flash game isn't anything of what I described above. In fact, you can stay at the side of the screen and you're most of the time safe, unlike vintage Galaga where you have to move your ship.

Well, what do you think of this game or other games?

I enjoy all of the games I've played in there. I really like Sonic Blox. It's a more challenging version of Tetris. Of course I also like Galaga, that game is simply classic. Space Invaders is pretty good and I used to never like that game that much. Thanks to the arcade here, I've grown to like Space Invaders. Puzzle Bobble is really really fun too and it's arcade perfect. I remember that arcade was in an old restaurant that was around in my county several years ago.

I grew up with (an exaggeration, but still) Galaxian, not Galaga...

Galaxian is a really good game and it's a bit better than Galaga. Is it an update of Galaga? If I'm not mistaken, Namco created both.

Sonic Blox is a really wonderful game to play because of its twists... I mean, you can't have one of the Sonic characters spindash on the blocks in Tetris! Lol, but I do like Tetris too. I remember back when I joined I'd play Tetris all the time listening to Don't Stop The Party The Back Eyed Peas, trying to beat the high score (I usually ended up topping it, but just by a little). Highest score I ever got in there had to be somewhere around the 50,000-70,000 range.

I also like Snake, some game where you bounce a red ball on a wooden paddle and when you lose the ball an audience gives you a light applause, Pac-Man... wow, it's been a while since I've played any of those games. I've spent all my time nowadays in making music. Perhaps I should come back to the arcade one of these days and show you all my online forum arcade playing skills =P

Galaga is the sequel to Galaxian.

I don't know about you guys, but I've always been a huge fan of Motherload. A mining adventure on Mars where the riches get better the deeper you go, but the more dangerous it gets? Count me in on that adventure. =p
