Two Tailed Fox Forums (TTFF) would like to welcome all users to our Forum; we hope you'll enjoy yourself here.

The staff at TTFF would like all members, and potential members to please read the rules. They are not here to take away from your enjoyment of the boards, but rather to maintain order within the forum. Most all Guidelines revolve around the philosophy of respecting one another, using good grammar, and having common sense.

By submitting and accepting the Terms of Service, you (the user) are required to follow all of the following rules. If you break a rule and say you didn’t read them, or didn’t know about the rule, staff will quote the rule and you will still be warned.

You must understand that the staff can not be held liable for anything posted on this board, and is not obligated to get involved.

[*]Something very important you must know is that the only way you gain the privilege to post your own topics is to reply in an already made one.

The physical warning system is set on max of 5 warnings. You get one each time you break a rule (that is severe enough for a physical warn) in normal circumstances. In certain cases, you will get a different punishment than outlined below. In time warnings can be lowered, if staff feels you have shown improvement.

[*]1st warning = Warning issued
[*]2nd warning = Another warning issued
[*]3rd warning = 3 day suspension along with Mediation
[*]4th warning = 7 day suspension, your posts are watched over for 3 days, and there will be Mediation
[*]5th warning = Banned from the forum

Upon getting the 5th and final warning, you are banned from the site. Don't try to come back after a ban. Any accounts deemed to be created by a banned person will also be banned on sight, along with an IP ban if necessary. At times, we may un-ban you under extreme circumstances. If you think you can act more maturely, contact AugieD via e-mail (or other method) to see if they approve. In the message, you must explain how you are going to act properly the next time and apologize. If they don't approve, then you are still banned.

The Administration prides itself on having a fully capable staff. One that can be relied upon to make good decisions in times of turmoil. For this reason we must emphasize that Staff will decide if you are capable for the position. So do not ask a staff to join. Members will not be considered for a staff position if they ask to join staff. Administration will enlarge the staff if it is necessary.

Lastly, be aware that moderating is a responsibility. If you become a moderator, you are expected to continue being an active member of the community. It's important for staff members to not only check the board; they must take part in it as well. Be aware of what's going on, and be ready to offer your input. Keep in mind, a moderator is not a better person than the other members. If you become a Moderator and abuse the status you will be removed from staff and appropriate action will be taken (most likely a warn).

[*]Activity for a staff member:

If a staff member has been really inactive, the member’s job may be temporarily taken away and will be permanent if no activity follows, though an exception may be made if he/she is on vacation/family matters/school. But, they MUST state that they are going to be inactive, because otherwise it would cause problems when TTFF needs the staff to take action.

[*]10 Days Inactivity- Demoted (1 Staff Position Lower)
[*]17 Days Inactivity –Demoted (1 Staff Position Lower)
[*]23 Days Inactivity - Demoted (1 Staff Position Lower)

The lowest they can be demoted to is Mod, BUT they can easily get that position back, by showing ALOT of activity and good work. This rule wouldn't apply if on vacation, or a stated absence.

Every 14 days if they were active for at least 2/3 of that time, they'd be promoted until they reach their original rank.

[*]RULES:

Please note that some forums have specific guidelines pinned within their forums so take note to read them when you have the time. If you would like there is also an updated member handbook to help answer members questions that may arise.

[*]1. Mature content
TTFF is a PG-13 site. This however does not mean you are allowed to post writing and/or pictures involving sex, incest, fetish or porn.Any content that violates any of the above will be trashed. Violent writing can be posted but only with a NSFW tag on the thread's content. News involving violence can be posted, but only without any violent pictures.

[*]2. Flaming, harassing, and bashing
Flaming is an ineffective way of getting ones point across, and like bashing is an active insult towards another individual. A topic that has flaming or bashing in it will be closed, and trashed on spot. both sides of a flame will be held accountable. If its bashing the basher will be held accountable for their actions. If an issue degrades into harassment and feasible evidence is presented staff will act appropriately to maintain the boards peace.

[*]3. Art
Any sprite sheets, fan art, character and fan fictions claimed as your own, but found to belong to another will receive a suspension. You're allowed 2 active art topics at a time maximum. One must die before another one can be started.

[*]4. Swearing
Swearing is an immature way of conversing with others, and for that reason it is asked that you use appropriate language on the board. Bypassing the profanity filter is not allowed. If swearing is completely necessary, allow the filter to censor the whole word. The only place a curse word should ever be seen is in a story within the writing area.

[*]5. Spamming, Trolling, flooding and 4 words
Spamming is the act of posting useless comments on the board. Minor posts having only one word (such as saying only nice) are considered spam, and are not allowed. We ask you use at least 4 words, but encourage the active involvement within a topic. Flooding and Trolling is spamming on a larger scale and appropriate action will be taken depending on the situation.

[*]6. Advertising
Do not post links as a way to get people to look at the said site, because thats considered advertising, and the post/topic will be removed. If you have over 20 posts you'll be able to post in the links forum for that.

[*]7. Signatures
Signatures are to be no larger than 300 Pixels, and they should not stretch too far past 550 Pixels width wise. If your signature is too long we will send you a personal message, but if you do not respond, by either replying to the message, or fixing your signature, staff will remove it completely. Also do not post videos, song, chat boxes or any other codes like that.
Posted Image
[*]^ This Is an Example of the Max Signature Size[*]
If It is bigger then this you need to either make it smaller or remove things from your signature.

[*]8. Pictures
any posted image should not be larger than 400x400 pixels. If the image is larger it should be linked. The only exception to this is the art section

[*]9. Topics
If a topic is deleted, locked, or moved, do not recreate it. All staff members will leave a post explaining the reason why the topic was deleted/locked/moved. If there is a possibility they did not leave a post, you can PM one of the staff members and ask. The Staff are happy to close topics at the request by the topic creator. Any duplicate topics or bumped topics will be closed; do not bump a topic that has been inactive for more then six months. Also do not post multiple times in a row. Please use the edit button if you need to add something. Also please be sure to put your topics in the right section and area, it helps keep the forum clean.

[*]10. Foreign Languages
Members are allowed to post in any language they desire, but if you post in a language that is not English, we would like to see a translation into English, below the post. We know of no member that speaks every language in the world, so it's good to have a base language that everyone can be guaranteed a post will be in. If you do not provide a translation it will be considered spam. Chat topics can be in any language, but a translation must be given if staff asks for it.

[*]11. Ban dodging, and multiple accounts.
No member is allowed more than one account and if you have more than one, your others will be banned, and your original will be suspended. Along with that any person who is banned but creates another account will be instantly re-banned.

[*]12. Insulting people for their beliefs
It's alright to have your own opinion, but bashing and insulting people for what they like is rude, so please be kind.
That means being racist or insulting another culture to make others laugh is a no-no.

[*]13. Proxies
No member registered on TTFF shall be allowed to use any method of shielding their IP address from the staff in such a way that staff cannot identify the person in question. This includes using proxies to maintain anonymity. Accounts found to be using proxy browsers will be banned on sight.

WARNING: Opera Mini on the iPhone gives an automatic Proxie. This doesn't make it an exception, we're sorry. Don't surf TTFF with Opera Mini, please use a different browser without a Proxie.

[*]14: Name Changing
To change your user name, either edit your profile and request a name change, or post your request in the "Name change request topic " in the "Tails' Workshop" section. Your name will be changed by a staff member as soon as they see and approve the name, which is usually within 24 hours. Your name will not be changed if it contains any rule breaking material, or if you've changed your name within a month. (you must wait at least a month between name changes)

[*]15. The Shout Box

- Spam is acceptable in the Shout Box, limited to no more than 6 posts in a row by the same individual within 5 minutes. "Flooding" the Shout Box with 90% of the day's conversation as your spam is not accepted. Back and forth conversing is limited to 4 turns per person, after which the conversation(s) should be moved to either the IRC chat room, or the Chat Rooms forum. Breaking either rule is considered unaccepted spam in the Shout Box.

- Advertising is not allowed. Hot linking to other websites to show Youtube videos and things alike is allowed. Advertising is considered posting a link to attract members to another website, or your own. This will also include artwork, for we have forums for artwork and advertising already. So please, post your advertisements in the forum, not in the Shout Box. If any of these rules are violated, a verbal warning will be issued. After 3 verbal warnings, a physical warning will be issued and Shout Box privileges will be suspended. Remember, the Shout Box is a privilege, please don't abuse it.

[*]16. IRC Chatroom

The IRC Chat room is a real time chat for members of TTFF and can be used with any IRC client as well as our IRC page on the forums. There are no topic back and forth conversation limits unlike the Shoutbox and you can also be in private with a member of the site. The IRC is monitored 24/7 by TTFF Staff and all forum rules apply in the Chatroom, including not posting spam, ads or viruses of any kind. TTFF members are responsible for ensuring the security of their systems to viruses don't spread over the IRC. Staff reserve the right to kick or ban a member from the IRC for a rule break and normal warning procidures will be followed. Using the IRC is a privaliage, not a right. We also reserve the right to mute unregistered guests from talking on the IRC if a situation requires it.

Only TTFF members are allowed on the IRC and you will need to either login to the IRC via our IRC page on the forum or via a client on the SAME DEVICE you are currently logged into TTFF on. Staff will validate your login device location and TTFF login status to validate your ID on the chat room. Members are also required to register their ID's with Nickserv and log into Nickserv anytime you with to connect to TTFF IRC, this is to protect your username from impersonation.
