I am thinking of converting to twin 40 Weber or Dellorto carbs to my Crossflow but the Distributor cap and leads look like they will foul the manifold. Is there a different distributor that folks use?

I used a right-angle Aldon one, which ISTR I got from Demon Tweeks (and I also got electronic ignition as well).

ETA: http://modifying.demon-tweeks.co.uk/produc...pcode=A/A103FX1

I believe you can replace the dizzy cap with a Fiat part - but I don't know which one (if it's possible).

Anyone know which part number it is for the side exit cap?

I was thinking of one of these http://www.123ignition.nl/cyl/4.html

I see that they do one for a crossflow http://cgi.ebay.com.au/123-Ignition-Ford-X...5QQcmdZViewItem They have 16 advance curves to choose from.

Hi,

Why dont you consider Megajolt? I have fitted it and it is brilliant.

Hi again,

I agree totally with Will, as the conversion is easy with lots of help around and it is considerably cheaper than dellortos/webers.

Regards

Bob
