I woke up far too early yesterday morning (10am) with the Staffordshire sunshine streaming through my window, and started feeling guilty for not making the most of the weather!

After a new fan belt, quick check of fluids and a jump start from the tintop, I went out for a good 2 hours to re-explore the A roads of Staffordshire, Shropshire and a bit of Cheshire.

I'd forgotten just how essential gloves can be whilst driving, and almost how much of a grin a sunny winter morning's blat can cause!

So, has anyone else had the first run of the year yet, or are all the other Locusts still tucked away in the garage?

Too blumin cold to go in the garage never mind going out in a Locust with no heater. Anyway I'm on SORN over the winter.

I expect a large majority of owners are on SORN.

It's wet and windy here in North Wales but I try and use my Locust most days - although I do have a hood and a brilliant heater in her! (and a loan of husband's Mazda MX5 if necessary). Must remember my gloves tomorrow though - one or two draughts seem to be finding their way in!

Just need to put the boot together and then SVA, mind you the weather is peeing me off, my cover disappeared in the wind so no cover to work under.
