Thanks Bob i am.If u have any advice while building do feel free, specially on the sva side which changes next year  .Have got a draft copy.Looking through them alot of it sounds like common sense and is it really that bad.Everyone seems to paint a black picture about it.May have the same prob that u had.Part built when bought and no evidence of the donor car etc.Do you have to build the car first to get a chassiss number before the sva.Any help appreciated.

Hi Andy,

When you send off your SVA application don't tick the part built box, tick a new build this will save you time and many many letters. I did tick the box and after a phone call and explaining that I had stripped the car down and then altered the chassis they classed it as a new build.

regarding the chassis number I made mine up, an alpha numeric one with numbers no-one else would use, I used my army number and DVLA accepted it.

If you want some pics of the body build I can supply which should help with your build diary.

Regards

Bob

Hi Ratchet,

I'm all new to this malarky, and when I got the body off my car today, I wondered why one of the rear supports didn;t have supporting plates to the side . Then I see this shot of your car, (From the rear, unpainted) and it seems the same.

Can you/anyone explain why that's the case please?

Eric

If it is the picture of the rear, and it is the one on the back left corner. It is due to the roll bar which has the loop and a cross section to that mount point. If you wanted one like a westfield which has the two bars straight back which most have. Then you will need a extra mounting fitting. It is just the way it has been designed.Looking at the photos of your car it has a differant roll over bar.
