Richard, If you're reading this can you please PM me.

I've had a look at the rebuild pics on the site, and you car's chassis is the one that closest resembles mine, (others seem hugely different at the front!)

I'd really lie a chat about your front suspension setup if I may.

ALternatively...if anyone else's looks like this, http://www.locust.org.uk/ownerscars/builds...rd_hamilton.htm can you give me a shout?

I ask as this car looks like the front wishbone mounting point sits in the same location as where the cortina arm pivit point is (was), so pushing the wheels further back, whereas on other cars this mounting points seems to on the centre line between the ball joins on both sides of the car. If that makes sense.

I'm confused....

Most chassis were built to take the Cortina suspension and were subsequently modified/retrofitted to tubular wishbones. This meant that owners could fit them slightly differently using wishbones they manufactured, ones supplied by BWE or ones sourced from other suppliers or Seven type vehicles. I assume you have read the 2 articles in the knowledge base the photoss in Chris Laycock's piece show similar mountings to Richards. You should also take a look through some of the magazine back issues as there haave been a few articles over the years on suspension setup bump steer etc.

I assume you have read  the 2 articles in the knowledge base...

Just seen them now, and it all seems straight forward.

I think part of the problem of coming from a "Ready made" car back ground is that I expect things to look the same, when clearly a little bith of Heath Robinson inginuity is clearly the approach to be taking!

Hopefully, by the end of this week I'll have her down to a rolling chassis, then the "Putting it back together again" work begins.

Also, is there a regular London/Kent meeting? Can anyone advise?
