It's looking good, very tidy build like last time.

What's the scuttle off? I've not seen a GRP one on a Locust before.

It could be that colour that's caused the camera shake :D

Hi,

Thanks for your kind words.

The nose, bonnet and scuttle are all from MAC#1 in Sheffield, I got them as seconds as they will be painted in the original colour.

Possibly the colour did cause the shake or it was a reaction by me from viewing it through the view finder.

Regards

Bob

Hi Bob

I am in awe of your progress. What ever you turn up to Stoneleigh
in there will be guiness for you.
I have checked the operation of my on board 12v fridge so your
beer will be cold.
I hope tests go well and you pass with flying colours.
Austintacious is in the workshop having some minor mods and
repair work to the paintwork.I have also fitted some sound deadening
to try and quieten the ride down and possibly be able to hear a stereo.
Bye for now see you at Stoneleigh.

Hi Steve,

That is very good of you. I really want to turn up in it though. Have checked with the painters today and all the plastic is ready for painting and they are starting on the ali tomorrow, they will be painting it on Saturday so I will be able to get it back on Monday, that then gives me 10 days to get it finished for VIC etc.

I have put an accessory socket in the rear area so that I can plug a fridge in too maybe a tad OTT but do need somewhere to keep the milk for my tea, the UHT milk in tea is ughhhhh.

I have put the stereo back in with no speakers, I have got a pocket guitar amplifier which is wired into the aux out sockets which will then let me plug in my headphones under my crash helmet.

Hi All,

Lastest stage, The car has returned all painted and it looks very nice. The build starts in earnest this weekend, I have taken next week off so that I can get it finished for the VIC and MOT on Thursday 29th. I do have a speed awareness course on Wednesday though...heavy right foot at the wrong time....oh dear!!!!!

Bob !
This looks awesome ! Great job ! B)
Impressing - didn't think this is possible, but she looks better than ever and seems to have lots of technical improvement.
Crossing my fingers that you will be successful with the remaining work ! (But I know you will !)

OT: Sorry to tell you, but momentarily we are in doubt if the annual 7-meeting at the lake Eder will take place.
Lars, the owner of the camping ground, has fallen seriously ill and his wife is probably not able to manage the event with some 120 crazy Seveners on her own. Will keep you informed, final decision will be no earlier than beginning or mid June.

Cheers
Frank

Hi All,

Well I have just come back from VOSA and the MOT station and now have 2 pieces of paper in my grubby mit, one the VIC approval and the other a nice MOT cert, just need to tax it now and I am on the road.

The drive to the VOSA station was well how can I say? frightening I think sums it up best, it goes veru well indeed, I am going to have to take care as I can't do another speed awareness course for 3 years.

I worked all through last night and the list of things to do din't seem to be getting any smaller, but it was worth it.

See you all at Stoneleigh, just got to do some minor things and then it is finished for this week anyway.

I must admint I am chuffed, I got the repaired chassis back on the 22nd Feb and it is on the road now, so including the painting it has taken 8 weeks to do.

Regards

Bob
