Ok I have asked this before of the club but I now have an empty garage as I've just finished another bike build, so the question is do I continue with the Locust? It's been a few years since I sold mine and I'm doubting whether or not to build another one or buy a kit which is physically bigger like Peter's Legend which is all IVA approved. Does anyone know the position of the Locust in regard to IVA, will it pass? or is it chucking money in the wrong direction? |

I don't like the big fat Sevens. The Locust is much prettier. IVA test depends on the builder not the kit, build to the rules. |

regarding iva,bb wales did last year and if you build to the regs why shouldn't it.I myself am building a locust and at some point this year will be going for the test. Can't say i'm looking forward to it, but building it as the best i can to the bare minimum to pass the test ie no screen etc. What you don't fit they can't fail it on. |

Hi, I had mine SVA'd and not IVA'd in June 08 so I was a year prior to the IVA coming in, Looking at the IVA manual I feel that building a Locust and ensuring that you follow the manual then you will have no problems. The quality of your bike build transferred to a car build would mean that you would have no problems. I am following the IVA manual for my rebuild even though I do not have to take it for an IVA, I am doing this to ensure that when I take the car for VIC then they will have no problems with it. Regards Bob |
