Hi all,

Im not a member, but did attend Newark this year in my recently finished kit. Well as you may know Ian Stent editor of Complete Kitcar wished to feature my motor. He origonally wanted it along side a traditional build but this never happend.

This is just a heads up that the photo shoot went ahead late November and there will be a main feature (I think) on my car in Jan/Feb.

I hope this helps raise the brand and club profile a little and welcome your comments if you get a copy.

Happy New Year to you all!

Ed

P.S - it is up for sale at a sensible offer......?

Well done Ed, a good little bit in a world wide publication to raise the awareness of the Locust and a shame that one of the club cars wasn't included, speaks volumns for the club.

What was said about wishbones bending just by standing on them is totally unacceptable and I believe that materials have changed since then, manual there is one it's just not very helpful on the mechanicals, manufacturer at present is BWE. White Rose never manufactured the car they were just agents as all parts came from the old company T & J Sportscars (or suposed to have done?).

And Ed we were an active club in the old days, cars were used, events were attended and friendships were made, but now I don't know?

But again well done Ed and good luck with your new car, Porch 911 sounds good.

Hi thanks for the kind words around the Complete KitCar article. I hope it has done somthing for the Locust brand name, it is a shame we could not have had a standard car at the shoot as well!

The wishbones I bought, on inspection after treading on one were made from what can only be described as "Air line conduit". In the end I made them again from 316L cold drawn seamless tubing, and I added an extra brace. In this instance I only mean the bottom set.

To be honest, I never had a manual with the kit and not being paticually into instructions I simply made it up as I went along. Perhaps why it was such a pain to complete. I had two main objectives in mind when I built it. Light weight and power going back to the roots of Mr Chapmans ethos. I wanted a cheap and cheerful trackday car, and im am pleased with what ive got!

Before I sell, im going to fit an LSD I got cheap, so should have some real sideways fun!!!

How much should I ask for this car, any idea's anyone?
