Hi,

Looking good, your have the same problem I had with my initial engine, the carbs were very close to the bonnet, I cut a hole and used individual filters for each carb, how are you going to resolve the filtration?

Hi,

I have used an AC Delco alternator, I was lucky I found a guy who repairs all electrical bits and pieces car related and he had this one on a shelf and had had it there for years, he changed the position of the mounts, ran it up to test it and charged me £30 for it, I have mounted it under the carbs, it will be a tight fit but should go on no probs, the manifold pipes will be angled to allow the float chambers to sit level and this should be ok.

Regards

Bob

I'm sure there was something in one of the club mags about small lightweight alternators. I'll have a look.
