Hi, Looking good, your have the same problem I had with my initial engine, the carbs were very close to the bonnet, I cut a hole and used individual filters for each carb, how are you going to resolve the filtration? Bob |

Hi, I have used an AC Delco alternator, I was lucky I found a guy who repairs all electrical bits and pieces car related and he had this one on a shelf and had had it there for years, he changed the position of the mounts, ran it up to test it and charged me £30 for it, I have mounted it under the carbs, it will be a tight fit but should go on no probs, the manifold pipes will be angled to allow the float chambers to sit level and this should be ok. Regards Bob |

I'm sure there was something in one of the club mags about small lightweight alternators. I'll have a look. |
