She passed the MOT.......... the guy was goona fail it on the back brakes as they were a little weak but i convinced him i would be sorting them in the next couple of days, and also woz gonna fail it on the satnav mount i had on the windsreen but he then started talking about the days when he had a caterham and wished he still had it, got a bit misty eyed i think he he he... so it passed despite the new wipers not showing up yet.. so just sorting the back brakes, think i need new cylinders so will be calling the factors shortly.. added a couple of pics below

Hi thanks.... only re joined the club at stoneleigh after many years of absence 15 ish maybe. so not got the latest issue.

finished the brakes and exhaust bushes.

taxed the car today and went for a shake down run just under 50 miles. went ok, but over heated rad cap fell to bits and quite a few misfires so work not finished, returned with a smile on our faces however.

Change the brake fluid in the front calipers aswell.May be worth flushing the cooling system as well.Bit of a set back this weekend.Letter from vosa sat morn they require build weights.Had to take to local weighbridge, came in at 740kg fully fueld.Had to redo brake test with weight. After that took on a r/test while i still had trade plates from work.Found oil leak on engine at rear.Removed eng sat afternoon rear seal leaking and also found rear core plug as well leaking :( .Engine stripped, awaiting parts.Going to send weight to vosa next week, what a cafuffle

thanks sclub7 will do that.

that all sounds very intense with the engine stripped :-/

bled all new fluid to all 4 corners ... much better now and flushed the cooling system.
Barley ticking over at the min very irractic 500-1500 maybe air leak ? and sounds like it is missing. plugs are black so suspect carb issue will be on it this week. was a bit frustrated wish i had the money to go see the bogg brothers and swap to bike carbs.... maybe over the winter .

keep you chin up
