Hi all,

The car is serviced, every nut and bolt have been torqued up. Pod 2 fitted (Scott) Tent packed, and everything ready to pack away, I have never been this ready for a holiday in my life. Leaving on Friday.

The route has changed a few times but we are now happy with the FINAL version.

Dunkerque -Orleans - Claremont Ferrand - over the Millou bridge - Perpignan - Barcelona - Valencia - Alicante - Grenada - Malaga - Marbella - Gibralter - Seville - Elvas (Portugal) - Castela Branco - Salamanca - Santander - Bayonne - Bordeaux - Le Mans - Caen - Dunkerque. Somewhere near 3990 miles in all.

We will try and keep you up to date with the trip.

Regards

Bob

Hi All,

Thanks for your good wishes, hopefully there wont be any mishaps this trip NO rose joints fitted this time!!!!!!!!

Finished fitting the new dash last night after having horrible problems with the indicators taxed my grey matter like you wouldn't believe but all done now. Do we ever stop fiddling with these cars?

Hi all,

Well we are back and some 2632 miles covered. We didn't make Gibralter as we decided to stick to non toll roads which decreased the milage we did in a day but the added benefit of seeing more of the sights far out weighed not getting to Gib. We did get to Spain and spent time at a place called Roses on the coast and our campsite was only 2 mins from the beach.

The road from Roses to Andorra was built for 7's one stage was 45Kms long and the bends were fantastic, not alot of traffic which allowed the horns to grow.

Had some minor problems with the car but nothing that couldn't be repaired in an hour.

The return journey from Dover was the largest pain in the butt, they closed the M25 and so we had to go through London and then the M6 was closed, thank God for the M6 Toll, we docked at 7pm Saturday but didn't get to Wrexham until Sunday 7am 12 hours for 300 miles what a pain.

I will put a fuller report in the newsletter.

Regards

Bob
