Hi all, Well we set off on Wednesday and stopped at Benson for 1 night, nice site on the Thames. Then set off for Dover and arrived in plenty of time, so much so that we caught an earlier ferry and then motored into Belgium and spent the night on a site on the coast very nice and the beer in the bar was very good. Today we have motored south and did 147 miles, yes thats right we are not trying to do lots and lots in one go this tour, to a lovelly site in Belgium again it is in a velley and the roads leading to it are great for a 7. Tomorrow we are off to Rudesheim only 189 miles so again not too far. Will keep you up to date as we find internet. Regards Bob |

Hi Again, Out of the Black Forest and in Munich, Hofbrau house was great and managed to sink a couple of Steins of beer, drank to your health. The weather leaves a great deal to be desired so instead of heading into Poland and up to Berlin have decided to go to France and the Riviera so hopefully we will have some sun there. Will keep you informed. Regards Bob |

Bob, have a pleasant, enjoyable and and safe trip. The weather forecast for the coming week is promising a bit more sunshine around Wednesday or Thursday and rising temperatures ... so maybe you will get some more suitable weather for a Seven trip like yours B) Can you tell me by when you will approximately be entering the Harz region ? My annual holiday has been postponed and shortened several times now and it has become substantially more difficult to plan a trip to the Harz mountains :( Wish you loads of fun on your trip ... Cheers Frank |

Bob we must have just missed you. The weather was much better in Munich later that week. It made the beer too warm I had to drop down to half litres so they didn't warm up before I could drink them. |

Hi All, We headed west from Munich into France (to chase the sun) and further west as far as the Vendee and then made our way North East towards Dunkerque the weather improved amazingly and we managed to do nearly 3000 miles on the tour, I will do a write up in a future mag but just lets say we had a terrific time and want to do more in the future. We will be going to Stafford so hope to meet fellow members there. Just got to start planning the tour for 2012. Just got to add the roads in this country are rubbish 2500 miles on the continent and not 1 traffic jam even driving around Paris and then 300 miles to do here and it took 8.5 hours....joy of joys, mind you not as bad as last year, which will be revealed in the next mag (which I am working on). Regards Bob |
