Got up to a beautiful morning with the sun streaming in through the window whilst I'm eating my breakfast and reflecting on the decision not to tax my car over the winter period.

Was I right?

How many of you keep your cars on the road over winter and is it worth it?

Nice morning here too, but now it is dull and overcast. My Locust is away for the winter. I alternate it with my Mini with its tin top and heater. I give it a good hosing down underneath with waxoyl at the beginning of the winter in preparation for the salt.

I am now keeping an eye out on the weather forecast and will be swapping the Minis wheels on the first forecast of snow for my winter ones as the A032R Yokos aren't very good in in bad weather.

Hi ALL
Happy New Year to you all.
Not a Locust but the wife has an Mx5, last weekend the sun was out
so we sorted a few jobs in the morning then took the top down and we were
off.
It was fresh but what fun,who gives a toss about the looks we got !
Few miles to St Neots a walk along the river and then a bag of chips,
before the run home, start the year as you mean to go on,I don't mean
the chips,lol
See you all soon!

My Seven is used all winter - come rain or shine! Lucky that the car came with good wet weather gear and an amazing heater. Our other car is an MX5 but that rarely sees the light of day nowadays. Today too started off with bright sunshine but that soon turned to heavy rain :(

Roll on summer and fingers crossed, some warm, dry weather :)

Dull and damp here.Mine is off the rd due to on going work on the car.I had my sisters mx5 for a while and came to newark init for the first time.Went on a couple of runs on the evening with the top down to willingham woods,i to got stared at specially on the way home around 9pm.What i can't understand is people who have soft tops don't use them when the sun is out, they'd rather sit there with the air con on,strange people.Would not hessitate on getting another as they are so much fun and cheap to run.
