Hi guys after a run the other day i noticed the manifold was blowing a little after further investigation it would have appeared to have failed completely in the form of a large fracture :-(...... so made some enquiries locally and have had a quote of approx £600.00 for a custom stainless steel manifold using my old one as a pattern. to me this seem very expensive what do you think and does anyone have any advice. What you want is one of these to repair your manifold http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MERGE-COLLECTOR-...=item27d32b7cf2 You may have to wait a while for delivery someone in the UK must do a 2 into one collector that you can use to repair your manifold. Exhaust wrap can cause premature rust and cracks.......... |

thanks sclub7 great suggestion but i don't have the skills to repair the manifold to the level needed ... and yes i thought it was the wrap that really did finish off the manifold :-( anyway spoken to the guys at pipewerx and they have me booked in for 18th june... so going to miss newark in the locust at least. thanks again Penfold |

Hi guys Hopefully at kimbolton :-) As for the the work it was a full custom manifold equal primaries and secondaries and all that goodstuff plus connector pipe and silencer plus mounts, also they re routed some of the loom to allow for the manifold to clear. Took them just over a week in all, Will pm the cost to you sclub7 Regards Penfold :-) |
