Hi all I am looking for a Cortina steering coupling to fit a Mk 4/5 steering rack, I am not sure if a Mk 3 is the same? I have had a look at eBay but £65 seems a bit steep or is it that I'm a yorky. Any help much appreciated I passed the MOT with mine but would like to change mine before to long Cheers Digger |

Iv'e asked a couple of suppliers, they don't list it.How about ,if you look on the car builders solutions site they do allsorts of uj's and splind rods for steering. You could get a uj and have the old one cut off and the new welded on.I'm sure Johnathon could get that done. ;) HTH. |

Thanks Andy I have found a Mk3 one on ebay and I am trying to find out if it will fit a Mk4/5 rack. I will look into your suggestion about welding a new uj on. |

Hi Digger, maybe you will finf it HERE ? The part numbers are in fact different and the production periods are listed on pp 93 / 94 of the online catalogue. The shafts in fact differ in lenght, the latest production period had 400mm, the earlier ones were shorter. Let me know if I can be of assistance, the guys in that company are very helpful on the phone too. Remember these parts are LHD, but that shouldn't make any difference. |

Thanks for the advice, I took Andy's advice and got a shorter power steering coupling and used the uj off that. Now all fixed Thanks |
