Samoa Joe is back on Raw and that's just dandy. But what do you even do with him right now? All signs point to Reigns vs. Lesnar for the title at WM. Miz has the IC title, probably dropping it to a face whenever he does (and hey, doesn't he just seem perfect for a Mania feud with Jericho over who the best IC champ is?) So Joe probably isn't going after any Raw gold in the immediate future. But it also has seemed liked they've been serious about keeping him strong since he got signed. And that's great. But what would you do with him now? Feud with Bray? Jordan? Is he gonna spend a the road to Mania getting beat up by Reigns to help build him up for Brock? Heck, how cool would a feud with Wyatt by (by which I mean, hey, I bet those two could have good matches in spite of all the wacky fucking build up). But what would you want to do with Joe now were it you who had the choice? Or what do you think they're going to do? He might could very well be on team Raw for Survivor Series. That means he's teaming with Kurt. God willing that means dissension between them and one more match. Who knows? What do you think? |

I think the most logical course for Joe would be to book him into the Survivor Series Raw/Smackdown match. That way he can look strong, get some clutch eliminations, and as you said perhaps even tease out a feud with Angle or one of the others on Team Raw. If they do it right, they can keep him looking like a real threat while also giving him something to work with until it's time for him to get tapped for a title match. |

Imagine the absolute carnage Joe could make in SS, that's probably the best idea for Joe. Maybe turn him into a face? Even as a face he's still strong and looks like a legitimate badass. Wanted to drop this in case anyone want's some bloody goods: |

For Joe's sake, him eliminating a bunch of dudes in the Survivor Series tag match and generally looking strong is his best route that actively coexists with the simultaneous booking plans for Reigns and Brock at Mania. However, Joe's then left with a couple months for a grace period before 'Mania until after he can get pegged for that world title shot. (Maybe he gets suddenly drafted Smackdown after the ppv after beating up a bunch of Smackdown dudes? Who knows? That could be interesting) Joe one-hundred percent feels like a world-title guy to me, and I don't mean to belittle the midcard titles; he just feels like a world-title guy, and I think both he and the belt itself could especially benefit from him holding it. He has an air of legitimacy that Brock has, has the charisma and the ability to effectively communicate on the microphone, actually fucking shows up and doesn't cost the yearly salary's worth of six Dean Ambroses, and wrestles pretty damn good too. If it were up to me? Just fuck doing Roman and Brock all together. It just sucks. Maybe I'm just being a bad sport, though. I would totally be down for another Angle vs. Joe match though. Yeah, in an ideal world we'd be getting Joe v. Lesnar at Mania. that's been a dream match for a lot of people for a long time and both of those guys have that legitimate, "I could fucking kill you," vibe going for them. At that point? Fuck Heel/Face designations, just get those hosses to destroy sets, tear up arenas and maul other, lesser men on their way to a hell of a ticket. You put the win on Joe, Lesnar takes a little break and Joe becomes the new monster at the top. But this is not an ideal world, this is a world where Roman Reigns still, inexplicably has a rocket strapped to his back after several failed launches. And it's likely Joe will wait in the wings to feud with Reigns once he drops Brock. In all honesty, though, the biggest problem the Dub has on its hands now is that it actually has too much talent for the two brands and not enough creativity to book that talent well. Look at the abundance of incredible wrestlers on both rosters, and consider the company's unwillingness to do something bold with them the way Smackdown did with the Six. I mean, SD legitimately has two of the top wrestlers in the world right now languishing below a guy who's been given a push to the world title for... what purpose, exactly? Raw has world-class talent literally being dropped on his head by an over-the-hill veteran whose best years are well behind him (and who was never — sorry, Rey — in his league). There are, reasonably, guys in the company who don't even need belts to be a Big Deal, a la the Taker back in his prime. WWE needs to build a few more of those, or find some way of elevating the mid-card titles to a more meaningful level, because as it is the only mens' singles titles that mean anything are the world straps and that's a damn shame when your roster is world-class on average. |

Joe needs the Universal title period. Anything else is just lame for him. Brock honestly isn't doing anything as champ, and the fact neither Joe or Care Bear is the champion is a joke. Honestly I would love Joe to go on a rampage, but WWE loves just watering him down. A Joe who doesn't care versus a bad ass Roman is more interesting then seeing Lesnar suplex Roman 13 times just to get punched in the mouth and you know the rest. Joe, Reigns, and Care Bear should be mega stars right now, but WWE keeps pushing the real failed rocket ship in Brock Lesnar. Crann mention Roman's multiple failed launches shit Brock never launched he stayed on the rocket pad. Lesnar is cool he is fun to watch, but honestly him with a title is lame. It is sad when him losing to Goldberg in 40 seconds was the best thing to happen for him. Overall WWE messed up trusting Brock instead of the current talent they have. Oh btw Care Bear is that goof who was apart of the Wyatt family. Only good line is "I'm not finish with you." The guy who barely sells and gets over on the fact people look good for him. |
