So Lucha Underground got renewed for a 4th season...

I've never really watched it. I just watch lots of wrestling, never gave it much of a chance. But I bet some of you like it a lot! Right? Or at least used to? It had a lot of steam but seems its kinda slowed down in the last year while they figured out their TV situation. Rumor was that it might shut down for a minute there.

Anyway, alls I know is that they do a lot of wacky shit, and they have crazy contracts that, among other things, keep Ricochet off of American tv otherwise, and that's a bummer.

But do you still follow it? Are you stoked about a 4th season? Should I start watching it? Are you still cool with Sexy Star or nah? How do you feel about their sclusie contracts? What's so great about this Dario guy anyway?

Now's a perfect time for you to get into it Fauche-boy.

I had doubts about LU before I started to get into it, but I love it now. If you want great storytelling along with some awesome wrestling, it's the perfect blend if you don't mind the TV representation. The main plot is always changing with new twists and turns about the secrets of the Temple (Arena), new rewards, and Dario Cureto's past (hated his character the first few times I saw him, he grows on ya. He's the Mexican Vince really.) It also has recognizable talent from the indies, mostly PWG names like Joey Ryan, Willie Mack, and the forementioned Ricochet. Sami Callihan eventually makes his way into the third season as Jeramiah Crane as a bonus. Even the original talent that's been written is awesome, Pentagon Jr.'s the best out of homebrewn characters.

I'm hyped about a 4th season, the contract ordeal doesn't bother me too much, neither does Sexy Star, if I get some great wrestling. Also as a bonus, the commentary is off the hook. Vampiro and Matt Striker is the perfect match made in heaven.

I'd recommend skipping to around episode 15 and go from there. A lot of what happens before that is really just to establish who everyone is, work out a few kinks, nothing too interesting happens in terms of story, but at 15 they recap a lot of what happened. Plus it's on Netflix, Season 3 might be making it's way there
on the platform soon.

In short; hella hyped for S4. Hoping my boy Callihan (Crane) keeps kicking ass, and some new talent they sign impresses me. Definetely worth checking out and giving a shot.
