POWER RANKINGS: Revolution - 6/22/2018; King of the Ring Quarterfinals
Topic Started: Jun 25 2018, 03:05 AM (94 Views)
Brandyn Chase

Welcome back the fourth iteration of the Power Rankings, Revolution edition. Again, keep in mind that while TT threads are definitely one of the deciding factors, this is mostly going by kayfabe. Don't @ me if you think you're too low or someone else is too high. It's nothing personal if you get snubbed. There's 25 guys on the roster. Knocking it down to just 10 was difficult considering the amount of talent in the fed. Now that that's out of the way, let's get started. With over 3 weeks to analyse the results, here is the official top 10 list after the first 2 rounds of the King of the Ring tournament.

UWF Power Rankings
Revolution - 6/22/2018

__________

Number 10 - CM Punk

While he arrived too late to participate in the King of the Ring festivities, the Second City Savior has embarked on a redemption tour, proving himself to be the best of the newest arrivals with 2 victories to his name thus far. Punk is undefeated since his return, and doesn't look to be slowing down against Ravishing Rick Rude on this week's edition of Revolution.

Number 9 - Minoru Suzuki

In all of the craziness of the King of the Ring tournament, the one constant is Minoru Suzuki landing in the number nine spot. Suzuki outlasted Bubba Ray Dudley before being ousted by Broken Matt Hardy. Done expect Suzuki to stay down for long however, as he will look to regroup with the week off.

Number 8 - Chris Jericho

The Greatest of All Time has truly become the Eightest of All Time, setting the all-time record for most appearances in the eighth spot with 2. Don't let this seemingly low ranking fool you, as Y2J has ascended to the Number One Contendership for the UWF Championship. The living legend's new attitude is one to despise, and he'll most certainly be jeered during his match against young upstart Tyler Bate this week on Revolution.

Number 7 - Jimmy Jacobs

Mr. Money In The Bank slid down the rankings after losing this week against the previously unranked Larry Sweeney. He may have been moved down this week, but don't expect him to stay down long. The Zombie Princess has a future UWF Championship in his hands. For now, Jacobs will be taking the week off to reflect on his tournament run and proceed to whatever's next for him.

Number 6 - Seth Rollins

The Architect's tournament run has been so good, it's like he planned it that way. After defeating Drew Gulak, Crossfit Jesus beat Daniel Bryan... with some assistance. Nevertheless, he advances to the semifinals against Vinny Marseglia this week on Revolution.

Number 5 - The Miz

The Intercontinental Champion suffered an upset loss in the first round of the tournament against Matt Hardy. However, his victory over Sammy Guevara proves that the A-Lister remains a top-5 performer in the company. The champion will be spending this week on the sidelines before returning to action in the future.

Number 4 - Matt Hardy

In one of the more surprising runs of the tournament, Broken Matt Hardy has overcome both The Miz and Minoru Suzuki, both top 10 wrestlers, to reach the semifinals. This run, coupled with his opponent's, who we'll get to in a second, will make for an intriguing finals matchup no matter who wins this week on Revolution.

Number 3 - Larry Sweeney

Speaking of the Transatlantic Champion, Sweeney has been on an equally impressive year through some of the company's elite talents, including Marty Scurll and Jimmy Jacobs. Sweeney's matchup against the aforementioned Matt Hardy is one of the more highly anticipated matches of the tournament.

Number 2 - Vinny Marseglia

The Television Champion continues to prove to be more than just the doormat of the company, running the gauntlet that is The Brian Kendrick and Triple H to reach the semifinals of one of the most stacked tournaments the UWF has ever seen. The Horror King looks to get one step closer to becoming King of the Ring against Seth Rollins on this week's edition of Revolution.

Number 1 - Cesaro

And at Numero Uno for the fourth consecutive ranking is the UWF Champion Cesaro. It's been a tough road, but nobody had yet been able to knock The Swiss Superman off his pedestal, pre ailing in last week's loaded 8-man tag team match. With Chris Jericho knocking on his door, will we finally see an end to Cesaro's power ranking dominance?

Very cool to see another edition of the Power Rankings, and it’s quite nice to have nabbed the number two spot. Thank you for the time you put into this and for my placement.
