Janice Rand; your take on this short lived Character?

The Phoenix has Risen Posts: 36,485 Group: Admin Member #1 Joined: January 24, 2006	Poor Janice Rand was on the show for short enough of a time that StarTrek.com doesn't even list her as a main character, or cast member, what did you think of this character?

At the end of star treck IV with kirk demoted to captian and spock(naturaly) was second in comand and science oficer, the need for that role to be filled by the character savik was no longer needed so they got rid of her

Except for your lovely self of course" Number of times in TOS where it was implied that somthing "happened" when we wern't looking: 2 Kirk's Number one reason for violating the Prime Directive: "I noticed my hair line receding that day"

I distinctly remember one, because she is the one at the transporter when it malfunctions and Kirk says, "Its not your fault Rand, there's nothing you could have done" In four she was in the crowd at starfleet at the end when they were being read their rights. Five, Im pretty sure she was on the ship and yeah, in six she was on the Excelsior.
