I was excited to have both of my sons on the boat for the first time in this tournament series. We had a great tank full of gizzards and Ales of all sizes. Got our baits out at lines in. Fifteen minutes later we were hooked up to a very good fish on a 14” gizzard. That fight lasted about 15 seconds. Hooks pulled....oh well the day has just started. We’re gonna get em. As the day progressed with out a bite, I started to smell the faint odor of skunk. Finally about 2:50 pm our second bite of the day resulted in our first fish in the boat. Spent the next hour trying everything we could without success to get that second fish. |
