Coming off a good night the last trip, and with water temps rising, we had high hopes for abundant alewife activity and busting. Foolish us. We managed 3 total in the 16-24 inch range. We were out between 8 PM and midnight, and were prepared to stay longer. We stayed in the mid Roanoke area and things were just very quiet. Except for that Tuesday night boat race to Captains Quarters between 9:30 and 10:00. Holy cow. |
