Arrived at Scruggs ramp at 8:00. Launched and went to Pelican Point area. Very little bait activity on banks. Surface temp 70 degrees. Little to no wind. Threw topwater and divers with no luck at all. Air temp dropped all evening under clear skies. Barometric pressure dropped as well. Fished until 3am. Total skunk. Checked 3 Dock lights on our way back to ramp that usually hold bait. Very few if any at all. Spoke with two other boats who had the same results as my daughter and me. Still had a great night of father/daughter time. Won’t fish again for a couple of weeks. |
