I headed out this morning to try fly fishing a couple hours. I fished Lower lake water in a creek and found some bait up on the surface getting popped every once in a while. Blind casting to that yielded a few fair perch. I searched for schooled perch and found none. I went to blind casting a deeper bank and picked up several in short order. Stripping it 5-8’ deep over 15-20’. Also got catfish, shell crackers, bluegill and largemouth bass all on the same streamer. I think the perch might still be too scattered and suspended. |
