Camped this past weekend at J C Cooper with my family. I wasn’t able to make it a dedicated fishing trip, but when we did fish I tried to get serious about it. Didn’t get out till midday both days. Saturday was spent near Presbyterian Point. We caught a few bream on worms to add to the mixture of bait we had. Drifted our way out of the cove and picked up one ten pounder before my girls decided it was time to swim again! Sunday we got out for just a couple hours nearby the campground and picked up four more eaters pretty quick. All four of these hit the same rod which was garlic chicken set ten feet below a planerboard. And these fish had bellies full of mussels.

Not as much time fishing as I wanted, but I had a great time with my wife, college age daughter and her friend. We worked together well on the boat. It was fun watching the girls reeling in and netting fish for each other! It was a good day!
