I had a frustrating weekend. Trolled from PL to SPL, channels up & back ... nothing. Only had 4 rods out as I was out by myself but still. Had 4 different baits on as well ... Clark spoon, umbrella rig, inline daisy chain, & 3-way with 8 oz & 4 oz swimshads. Still nothing. Water very stained for out in the channel ... darkest I've seen it in quite a while.
Went back home, docked the boat, jumped on the Jet Ski ... went out to my favorite honey hole with some structure not far from the house. Bam! Couldn't keep the stripers off. Grant it they were all shorts & went back to fight another day but it was still non-stop action for about an hour at dusk. 2 at a time is fun on a double bucktail rig ... they fight each other going in different directions and it feels like you have monster on the hook.

Hell ... at least I didn't get skunked over the entire weekend.
