Welcome to Wallis Bay! – a character-driven role-playing region in the game NationStates.

A recently independent republic located on a strip of land in south-west Africa, Wallis Bay is a former outpost of Empire. With independence comes responsibility for development into a modern country – are the leaders of Wallis Bay up for it?

The region is for anyone who has ever had in an interest in history and politics. Here, you don't just play as a person, you play as a politician! From either the House of Assembly (where you'll represent an electoral district) or the Senate (where you'll represent the interests of the wider nation), you'll have a front row seat in the governance of Wallis Bay and it's future!
  1. Have a country on NationStates;
  2. Be located in Wallis Bay;
  3. Sign-up here with your character name.
That's it! So, what are you waiting for? Your country needs you! Join Wallis Bay!

OOC: Party Offices; What are they & how to get one?
Topic Started: 26 Feb 2016, 06:40 PM (33 Views)
The President
President of Wallis Bay

What are the Party Offices?
The House of Assembly and the Senate may be the face of Parliament and where the debate takes place, but the deals are made and broken in the Party Offices and many this is where the real power lies. Located – perhaps appropriately – in the rear of the building, these rooms are home to the wheeling and dealing that get bills through Parliament and party leaders into Premier House.

Nitty-gritty aside, the Party Offices are where political parties can hold their caucuses and define their party policy, membership and direction. It's where leadership elections and candidate nominations (for the House or Senate) can be discussed and decided. It's the beating heart of political life in Wallis Bay!

How to get a Party Office
There is a physical limit on the forum as to how many sub-forums each forum can hold. With that in mind (and thinking of potential future growth), Party Offices will be limited to those parties that have 2 or more members. Independent candidates, or one-member parties will not be given a sub-forum, after all, Party Offices are intended for discussions and debates, not singular posts.

With that in mind, any party that has a Party Office and falls below the 2 member requirement will have its Party Office closed and its threads moved into the general Party Office forum (where this post is pinned).

Feel free to post any concerns or queries below.
