I am most certainly looking forward to this tonight (or maybe tomorrow instead). Over the past few seasons they have set the scene for the grand ending and now we're finally reaching it. It's showtime! |

Dragonstone sits right in the middle of the opening to Blackwater Bay, so very close to Kings Landing, and the opposite side of Westeros to Casterly Rock. |

Alrighty, so we've watched it once already....here we go! The opening, I was so friggin' hyped for the theme song and then boom....IT DOESN'T START! Instead we get 'Walder' standing behind his table about to address all of the other Frey's 'he' has gathered. The moment the special wine/ale/whatever it was was brought out, I geeked out! F**k YES!!! F******************K YESSSSSSSSSS!!! And then boom, the theme song rolls and I've got goosebumps! ALL THE GOOSEBUMPS!!! I'm glad we didn't have to wait very long for Bran and Meera to arrive at the Wall. It didn't take them very long to get in, not with Bran's abilities. Jon looking all Kingly. Sansa looking as beautiful as ever. Little Lady Mormont being a straight up BOSS as ever. And then Sansa questioning Jon's decision? That was a bit of a shocker, though I can't say I fault her for doing so as she had a very good point. Then we meet Alys Karstark and whatshisname Umber...the little dude, as they pledge their allegiance to Jon. Cut to the yard where Brienne is spanking Podrick....quite literally. And then Tormund walks over with googly eyes for Brienne and says Pod's a lucky man after she walloped him and sent him to the snow Good on Sansa for telling Littlefinger off a few moments later as well, before admitting to Brienne that she knows what he wants and that he saved them by bringing the Knights of the Vale along with him at the Battle of the Bastards.Cersei....f**k this bitch and her bitch of a brother. Moving on... Euron. F**k this dude as well lool. I did really like how cheeky he was being with Jaime though, and how he had thoughts of making his way closer to the throne where she sat before FrankenMountain intervened...SMART MOVE HOMEBOY!!! Although I really would have loved to see the squid pop at the hands of the beast. Sam. Poor Sam. What he was pouring into those bowls for people to eat at the tables looked exactly like what he was pouring out of the chamber pots in the mornings. ![]() Arya and those Lannister soldiers....I really thought she was going to carve right through them. Ooooh, and Ed Sheeran. I know a certain person who will be VERY glad to hear that voice and see that mug when she watches ![]() Ah man, as soon as I saw the snow-covered house I knew it was the same house Sandor and Arya had been to, and knew there wasn't going to be a happy ending to their visit. It was quite sad to see the father and daughter - or at least their remains - huddled together in the corner like that, knowing what he had done when all hope was lost. And then the premonition in the flames! It being the same castle Jon was sending Tormund and the free-folk to in order to defend! I liked that he went out and buried them. I reckon his time with those people last season after Brienne whooped his behind led to such 'kindness'. And finally Dany! She's home for the first time since she was just a babe. I thought the moment where she knelt down and pressed her palm to the sand was quite touching, as was the entire journey to and through the castle until she came to stand at the head of the table in the war room. MY BODY IS READY!!! Wait! Holy crap, I almost forgot to mention Jorah being in one of those cell/rooms! I reckon if there's anywhere he'll be able to find a cure, it's there...although it's already gotten quite bad! Crikey! |
