As small and insignificantly as it was portrayed I believe the bomb Gilly read aloud was the most important event during an episode filled with important events.

It was huge for us as viewers but will it ever be mentioned again in the series to those who could/would want to know, or should know?

I think it will be mentioned again.
If Sam is going to Winterfell (does everyone think he's going there, and not the wall?), then Bran with his visions and Sam with his knowledge will be together. Also Jon has become quite kingly, telling Dany he doesn't need her permission. He is a king, he can leave if he wants to.
I think it's very important. Jon's parentage has always been important.

I agree with this 100%

I reckon he has to be headed for Winterfell, knowing that Jon went there and now Bran is there as well. I really don't see him going anywhere else.

Do you think those random books and scrolls he grabbed will have anything in them?

I think they were a less random selection than they appeared. He knows his way around that library.

I don't know, it seemed to be a blind selection to me!

Yes, I think it looked that way, but with the amount of time Sam has spent in there, I believe that he has gone straight for what he believes are the important scrolls, even if they don't ALL turn out to be important. And hopefully Gilly has brought along her reading book too.

I don't know about you lot; but, I'm ready to see Cersei and Jaime thrown off the cliffs of Dragonstone.
