The odd looking Incantus shrieked as the warhammer hit it squarely on the skull forcing it downwards and slamming it into the ground. The earth shook. The Enkidu girl would then notice the Incantus was no longer under her as its long, scaled form dissipated into fog and slithered into the faults. The black fog would then rise up behind Violet and Tourmaline. Instead of a slow breath of fire, however, the Incantus tried to slither around them like a snake and constrict them.

"Direct hit! And a new record~" Amberley cheered as the Incantus flew to the ground. What she was keeping score on was definitely a mystery. Perhaps the amount of heads she clobbered, perhaps the height she jumped. This girl was definitely strange, but Amberley was very happy to be fighting alongside people for once!

Then she noticed the creature was no longer underneath her feet. Instead, it heard towards the two lovely ladies, and appeared to be attempting to coil them. "If you have magic, I suggest you use it now!" Amberley called out as she recovered from her jump. Then she began sprinting towards the Incantus, her warhammer once again in the air. She couldn't let them fight it alone after all.

Violet reacted first, being more used to battle. "Tour, behind us!" Violet's own studied magic was pretty useless, though her sword worked fine. Slashing at the slithering black around herself, Violet trusted that Tourmaline's magic would work to save her.

Tourmaline, upon hearing Violet's cry, and indeed, feeling the Incantus creeping around her, began whispering under her breath, and threads of glowing symbols began streaming from her hands towards the Incantus. Tourmaline prayed that the others either weren't Walpurgi, or didn't recognize Sealing magic.

She told the threads first to pull the Incantus away from them, then bind it as best as they could. They'd all have to figure out what to do with it from then, if her magic worked.

The threads of Tourmaline's binding spell wrapped around the Tourmaline, forcing it's elongated body to compress together. It screeched, unable to use it's ability for awhile. Meanwhile the Saad traveler had finally chipped in by pulling his bow and firing an arrow that pierced through the Incantus' eye.

You can imagine how much this angered the demon and it writhed against the binding.

"أنا تسفر!" the thing suddenly said in a scratchy voice. "I yield! Let me go and I'll bargain with you!"

The strange Incantus winced in pain as tossed its head around.

"I beg you! This is مؤلم! Painful! Much pain!"

Amberley smiled sweetly at the Incantus. "Sorry, pal! But you messed up the order!" She said. The others probably had no idea what the heck she was taking about. "You have to ask to bargain before we fight. Because then you could of played it off as being angry." She explained. "But you, my dear. You attacked us first, we did nohing to provoke you. We defeated you fair and square. Bargaining isn't going to help~" She sounded way too sweet for this. But a part of her voice made it seem she had experiences with Incantus, and knew that they didn't barter with Enkidu, and often lied.

She raised her hammer. And smiled at the demon. "You're also to close to my home and the temple. I can't take the risk!" And with that, she swung her hammer as hard as she could at the Incantus's head. She turned to the others and smirked. "This one can't be trusted. Old, a troublemaker it seems. Help me out will you?"

Tourmaline wasn't sure about attacking something in cold blood, even if it had attacked them first. "Er, kinda on morally shaky ground there, aren't we? I mean, I dislike Incantii as much as the next gal, but..." She trailed off. "Alongside that, I don't actually know how to perform the full ritual to get rid of the Incantus spirit or whatever."

Violet remained silent; Tourmaline had a pretty good moral compass, in Violet's eyes, so when it came to a grey area, Violet was likely to trust her more. Of course, she'd also have no problem dispatching something that attacked the two of them.

The Incantus hissed as its head got knocked back, its long body flopping over one side like a deflated balloon.

"Putrid beast-whore!" it mewled weakly. "I was asking them, not you! الكلبة!"

Eventually, though, its body started turning into dust, cracking and crumbling before a bright green light slipped into the crevices of the desert ground.

"I'll be back, I warn you!" a voice echoed. But it was gone.

"Well, that was anticlimactic," the Saad man said. He looked at the other travelers. "But better anticlimactic than something we can't handle. I say we get going. You said you knew the way, miss?"

He directed this question towards Amberley.

Amberley shrugged and turned her attention back to the Incantus. "Excuse me! I'm not putrid!" She growled. Though, she didn't arugula about the "whore" part. She smiled as it disappeared, looks like she made a new friend~

"I'll be waitng!" She cheered. Was she afraid? Nope! She could deal with the Incantii. She looked towards the man. She flashed him a grin and nodded. "Yep! Follow me~" Amberley began walking, and expected her companions to follow.

Violet glanced at Tourmaline as the Incantus disappeared. They had a brief moment of eye contact, during which Tourmaline was obviously fighting back a laugh. Violet noticed, though, that she still seemed very white and frightened.

Of course, their companions didn't seem quite as fazed, which figured since it looked like they lived in Dearmad amongst these monsters. They started forging ahead, with Tourmaline and Violet in back.

"Soooo... Did you say how far these ruins were?"

"I'm afraid I wouldn't know," the said. "But our generous traveling companion might. Pray tell, Amberley, do we have long to go? Or should we start seeking out shelter before the sun rises. Also you mentioned something about being close to your temple?"
