Wiegenlied is a considerably open world where you can be flexible about your skills, particularly when it comes to magic. There are, of course, limits to magic and how Cantus and Carta work by nature. This is discussed briefly in Cantus vs. Carta, but if you'd like to know more or have questions as to whether you can do this or that with regards to magical abilities, feel free to ask here. I'm quick to reply so I'd prefer only questions from three different people at max before I can move onto the next batch. You can also ask about Enkidu abilities as well.

Necromancy

Necromancy is a branch of magic that deals with the summoning, resurrection and any form of manipulation of the dead, including corpses or spirits.

A controversial magic that violates the respect of a deceased person, as well as hinders spirits their deserved rest, there have been bans on performing the magic on human corpses. However, this has not stopped conjurers and summoners from practicing the craft in private. Certain academies will also permit the use of necromancy but under their eye and only on designated corpses.

Differences between Cantic and Cartic Necromancy

Methods for both Cantic and Cartic necromancy are surprisingly similar. Both require vessels (corpses whether animal or human), a magic source (their cantus or lei), and are limited to them. Perhaps one of the major differences is that Cantic necromancy allows you to bend the will of the undead mentally while Cartic necromancy requires the use of a tool (e.g. a charged staff) and marks. Regardless, necromancy can be very specific to the tastes of the necromancer and real differences are merely the matter of preference.

Hex Magic

Hex magic refers to the use of charms, curses, luck and misfortune, yes. It is of the Illusory class and it's main purpose is to instill a mindset or affect on a purpose. Some hexes are more debilitating in effect such as those that make a person nauseous, lose their balance or general probablility such as the probablility their attacks will hit their target. With regards to Cantus hexes can be spoken or willed, but the more discrete they are, the more anima they require. Some hexes might also require the use of potions or ingredients.

ROUND TWO
These are basically just random unrelated questions I got from reading the stuff:

What's the difference between a sending and a familiar?
In what way does contracting an Incantus grant you extra power (if that's the result of the contract ofc)? It sounds like bonuses to Anima capacity, though Incantus seem to have a nearly infinite source of Cantus magic, so is that what the contractee gets? Does it increase the power of magics (or only a type of magic depending on the contract I'd imagine) of the contractee, or is it mainly an increase in Anima capacity?
Finally, what are projections (listed under Mental. Are they illusions or wot)?

Sending vs. Familiar

I think I mentioned this in Cantus vs. Carta but I might as well reiterate it for a more specific answer. The two are distinct to their own magics. A sending is a magical construct created in Cartic magic. This means that it is a being created out of magical cartic marks. Think of it like putting together a magic framework for a model and that model being able to move at your will. Depending on the time and effort spent, a Cartic sending could look as real as a person or animal, or could be as bare as silhouettes or skeletal frames. They're often used for menial tasks, but those adept in Cartic construction could make them complex enough to physically attack others. Cartic constructs can be placed in gems and cast out. Granted, of course, you keep the gem or medium charged.

A familiar, on the other hand, is a spirit you can summon. This is more often done in Cantus magic, though it's not limited to it. A familiar can be the spirit of an animal such as a wolf, or a person, though the latter requires either a special binding or pact and can be only summoned for a limited amount of time.

The Power of A Cantic Contract

To a degree, an Incantus intensifies a Walpurgis' power. This can manifest in a number of ways. One is being able to use more magic yes, but note that the more it's used in one go, the more it can get corrupted. Another way is through expertise. A basic mage practitioner could suddenly become more adept in their magic (let's say a beginner gains inherent knowledge to practice up to competent level skills). Also as for infinite sources of Cantus magic, remember that a person needs to use Anima in order to channel their magic. Having your anima fused with an Incantus would result more in the less use of Anima for more intense spells (but at the risk of corruption). For example, a Walpurgis might need to use a lot of anima to cast an expert level spell, but only needs to use half the usual amount if they are in a contract.

Projections

Projections are basically illusions, yes. It's being able to project a certain image from your mind. For example, a mage creating a physical illusion of a monster in order to frighten someone is a projection. The difference between a projection and a hallucination would be that a hallucination only occurs in the target's mind while a projection is physically visible by anyone who sees it. Think of them like magic holograms with sound effects.
