Sara looked at her phone one last time for the text she had been waiting for. Come on, come on Seeing no change she shoved it back in her pocket in a huff. Before she could fully turn her attention back to her work sheet, a small cough was made to get her attention. Cringing Sara looked up upon the woman she had come to know as Mrs. Reed. "Yes Mrs. Reed?" she asked, full well knowing she wasn't going to get away with feigning innocence. The teacher paused, controlling her anger and just held out her hand. "Ms. Tyler, would you so kindly hand me your phone. We are in the middle of class." Nodding slightly Sara just kept repeating to herself, A few more weeks, just 2 more and you'll be back., as she handed the contraption to Mrs. Reed. Having already been here for a couple of months, Sara was already cursing herself for being caught. The police had got called in on weird noises from the house she was squatting in at the time and they forced her to go to school. Grabbing a curl of her red hair, she growled at herself. At the time she had been so tired that she hadn't even felt their presence. Then it was too late for her to transform. She always waited 3 months before mysteriously disappearing into a whole different town but this school was especially grating.

Finally after class Sara walked up to her teacher. "Mrs. Tyler, I need to talk to you." And thus began the half hour long talk on how a lady should behave. Sara tuned in near the end just in time for, "Here you go. I know you are currently going through tough times," the fake tars ensued as Sara sighed to herself rolling her eyes. Pity. "but you just can't act like this." Sara breathed in deeply then put on the face that she had put on so many times before. "Thank you. I am so happy you care for me. I had forgotten anybody even had." She raised an eyebrow, which caused Sara to draw it back a little bit. "but I believe I have come to terms with my parents mysterious disappearance." Not so mysterious Shaking her head she took the phone from the teacher. "Thank you so much Mrs. Katie." Mrs. Reed looked up sharply but Sara had already bolted noticing her mistake.

In the safety outside of school, Sara grabbed her phone about to check it, the stopped herself. She'd read at home. Yeah. He did promise to text by now after all. And this was such a momentous occasion. Squealing like a school girl, well, she looked down at herself, she was a school girl. Anyways, squealing she got on the bus and got off at the 4th stop. Running, halfway home she fumbled for her keys from her pocket. Sticking them unceremoniously into the door she opened it, then slammed it shut with her foot as she continued to her room. Dropping her stuff on the floor, she jumped on her bed and unlocked her phone. Opening up her text she saw a new one. Screaming sh jumped up and down on her bed before remembering her "Neighbors". Scowling at the offenders house she went back to her bed and sat down to actually read the text. I might have found a lead. Might not be much but you'll have to decide that. Meet Devin later. He'll be under the bridge later tomorrow night. She sighed before responding, Are we really meeting one of them again?. It wasn't long before he answered with a swift No thank goodness she could practically hear his laughter from here of what she had to go through just to get the info they wanted and it wasn't even any good. You will meet a child of the night. Looking at her phone curiously she stared at it, hoping for more answers. Finally she gave up and curiosity getting the better of her she typed back, Child or Protector? Those are two very different things you know. This time it took longer for him to respond leaving her biting her nails. She knew it was dangerous to ask him to text her every week but she still wanted to at least finish a conversation before he had to go back to things. Child. He confirmed leaving her to sigh once in relief then continue to read the last of the text. Have to go Sis. See you next week? Yeah Bye! And that left Sara alone for another week. Oh joy.
