France fully supports the entry of Korea into the United Nations. In regards to the self styled "North Korean Govt", France in no way shape or form recognizes this band communists as a legitimate Govt. |

We wonder why the French are so hostile, and also if this is a attempt to spoil the new found peace in Asia? |

Britain is disappointed with the approach of the Soviet delegation, and with the flurry of vetoes on membership. An organization for global collective security can only work with full participation. We would propose discussions on this matter. |

The decline of the application of South Korea is just a reaction on the above mentioned issue. France, which has also right for veto, decline the application of North Korea, so the USSR just reacted. Infact there is no need for a discussion on this issue. The USSR has made it's decission and we stand fast to our decission! OOC: It's pretty curious, that EQ also stewards "China". Infact there is no China. Neither a People's Repbulic of China nor Taiwan. So "china" has no right to vote for or against any issue. Furthermore EQ has now 2 veto votes. That's infact not the sense of the game!! |

Britain holds to her position finding all vetoes unproductive and not completely necessary. OOC: There is one China in the UN at the moment, the RoC. Whilst the stewarding issue is not an ideal one and probably didn't need to enter into play here, it is not avoidable given the overall situation. |
