A license-agreement has been signed between the Swedish aircraft manufacturer Svenska Aeroplan AB, SAAB, and the Dutch manufacturer NV Koninklijke Maatschappij De Schelde.

SAAB has two civilian aircraft models on the program but almost all production capacity in Sweden is occupied with fulfilling military orders. Therefore according to this license-agreement De Schelde will assemble the two SAAB models 90A Scandia and 91A Safir in its facilities in Dordrecht, the Netherlands.

Both SAAB and De Schelde will market these aircraft models and the sales incomes will be shared; 2/3 to De Schelde and 1/3 to SAAB.

The costs are $1,035,000/SAAB 90A and $120,000/SAAB 91A, which is a total of $55,350,000.

The deliveries of the SAAB 90A Scandia will be made in a rate of 4/month beginning on July 1949 (roughly half in 1949 and the rest in 1950), and deliveries of the SAAB 91A Safir can start after the Luftwaffe and Marineflieger orders are fulfilled which should be in January-February 1950 with the last being delivered two months later.
