What law allows that?
Tremblez, tyrans et vous perfides
L'opprobre de tous les partis
Tremblez ! vos projets parricides
Vont enfin recevoir leurs prix !
Tout est soldat pour vous combattre
S'ils tombent, nos jeunes héros,
La terre en produit de nouveaux,
Contre vous tout prêts à se battre !

OOC: The law of the trials in front of the International Court. Is one party, or even both, not having judges in the court, they are allowed to send a judge for this trial. As Norway is in and Germany isn't Germany is allowed to send a judge for this trial. So called Ad Hoc Judge: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International...e#Ad_hoc_judges ; Art. 31 UN Charter.

Would not the honourable thing to do, seeing as the Norwegian judge removed himself from the process, be to not push the issue of a German judge and leave it to the unbiased minds of the other judges instead of trying to win in a cheap and underhand method? If it is legal or not is not the question, is it ethical and honourable, is.

OOC: I had to think it over several times because of this. I really had doubts myself and that's why I asked Norway to rethink it. However, in such a case in RL no government had acted this way and no judge would have removed himself, because another removed. Is it honourable? Perhaps not. But realistic.
However, if anyone else has problems with this I am open to debate that. I am also open to remove the call of the judgement of the German judge.

OOC: Do not take it as a slur against your character or anything. ;-) I just thought that if one party withdraws to keep the playing field fair, should the other side not also?

If Bohdan Winiarski, of Poland, Milovan Zoricic of Yugoslavia, Sergei Krylov of the Soviet Union, and John Read of Canada remain silent the court will assume them to have abstained and the case will be closed on a 4 3 vote in favor of West Germany.

ooc: 1 day, please vote already.

Out of respect for the principle of international legislation the Kingdom of Norway will accept this verdict although we do not in any way agree with it.

The West German government thanks the Court for the wisdom and agrees with it totally.

With the decision of this trial the UN de facto recognized this claim. And not being invited to the Antarctic treaty conference, we will not recognize this treaty as we were excluded. The terms of the treaty are not binding us in any ways.

This phrase is typical for the imperialist world. Talking about how to segment their claims.

Due to direction of the highest positions, the Soviet judgeman did not took part in this trail.

The headline of the Pravda on the day, the sentence was announced:

Western World votes for Nazi Claims

That headline describes pretty well, what the world thinks on this trail.

There is no further discussion needed on this issue.
