My dear colleagues, I assume you've all read the newspaper reports about the war which is currently going on in Sudan. It is our very own interest to prevent further bloodshed in this conflict. Thus we appeal to both, the Egyptian and British commanders to agree to cease fire. Further we want to draft who a solution in this conflict could look like. 1st Step Would be an immediate cease fire between both parties 2ndStep An official United Nations resolution would define a DMZ in which United Nation force will monitor, that neither british nor egyptian forces will enter the area. We suggest a 20 km wide zone on each side of the boarder 3rdStep Slow withdraw of british forces from Sudan and handover from govermental and administrative issues to a elected sudanese goverment. Soviet Union is willing to take the command of that United Nations force and would deploy 1 brigade, 3 squadrons jets and 1 war ship to monitor. Further supply forces will also be deployed. |

Thailand agrees, but urges that not Soviet Troops, but Yugoslavian or Swedish troops be deployed, as its best if a neutral country took the duty of peacekeeping |

In reference to the last two points, interestingly this was the direction the Sudan was headed until the Egyptians moved in. Also the path we will take once the Egyptians are once again on the proper side of the border. We are glad the Soviets like the British Plan! That being said, we thank you for the offer of help, but we think we have it under control. Out of curiosity, through my entire post I assumed you meant the Sudan policing action, is this correct or did I assume wrong? |

India echoes the feeling of Thailand, concerning neutral peacekeepers. However we do not wish to see the British troops sent out until the UN troops have a firm hold on the DMZ. |

Greece would officially say they agree whole heartedly with the UK and hope the Sudan Police Action wraps up quickly and we can all go back to what we were doing before. |

The Canadian foreign minister would like to propose that the UN force, made up of Canadians to represent the west and Poles to represent the east, to ensure that one bloc does not have more representation than the other. Poland and Canada would of course be the prefered choice for this operation because we do not share the same animosity that exists between the Soviets and Americans yet we represent the ideals of our own Blocs. They will establish a DMZ and maintain it until a deal can be reached between Britain and Egypt without bloodshed. |

Soviet Foreign Minister announces: "The Soviet Union would agree to such a compromise, but we should allow, that the USSR is allowed to support the Polish Forces in supply and transport issues. Soviet Forces would bring the Polish troops to the DMZ and leave it at the same or the next day. Soviet technicans should be allowed to maintenanace the planes of both, Polish Air Force and Soviet Transport Aviation forces. This is just an aid for our polish friends, who suffered that much in World War II. We would like to help them fullfill their international duty." |

His Majesties Government would be quite willing to think about it if we would implement something similar on the China Tibet border. |

the Canadian forces are in well enough shape that we can maintain our own craft without American aid, and will match Soviet technicians and transport for our own troops |

The internal matters of the Chinese nations are not the concern of the United Nations, and the UN has been specifically forbidden any interference. |

Then I would assume the same would imply for internal matters of the British nation. Take this proposal as vetoed. |

We again ignore the statements from the confused Mao Clique and again state our pleasure in the removal of the trouble makers. |

I believe with the vetoing of this proposal, the thread is now complete. That being said, the arrest of the Maonese disturbants is good news. |
