MATCH FOUR: HELL SHOWCASE
Singles Match

Candy Mitsuyoshi vs Michiko Yamada

The fans' reactions during the entrances of Candy Mitsuyoshi and Michiko Yamada made it clear they were expecting brutality from this personal rivalry, with its roots in Japan's Garbage vs Pure promotion and NKP's predecessor, GFP, that reignited at HELL En La Tierra when Michiko brutalised Candy's cousin Suzume with barbed wire after their match was over. Despite neither woman exactly being known for having an emotionally demonstrative nature, Yamada and Mitsuyoshi were quick to get in each others' faces, growling threats and insults in Japanese as they got in so close their foreheads pressed together. They pushed back and forth in a display of dominance, and it wasn't long before they started trading hard slaps to the face, which soon devolved into them smacking the hell out of each other with both hands with furious speed and impact.

At last Michiko separated it by shoving Candy in the chest with both palms, so hard she knocked her on her behind. Candy, seeing red, flew back to her feet and rocked Michiko in the jaw with a right fist! Michiko responded by grabbing Candy in a front facelock and repeatedly driving a knee up into her face. This lasted until Candy managed to spin out, keeping Michiko held with a wristlock, and pulled her back in for a northern lights suplex that spiked the Poisoned Blade right on her head. She followed that up with shin kicks to the face as Michiko got to her knees, but Michiko was able to find a dragon screw and mounted for punches. Mitsuyoshi with a headbutt and she fought to her feet but missed on a rolling elbow. Michiko grabbed Candy around the waist and lifted her into the air, holding her for a moment before dumping her on her crown with an Aztec suplex. But she broke the bridge of her own volition, not interested in going for a pin attempt yet, instead choosing to lay in hard kicks.

Most of the match went this way, in a cycle of one wrestler (usually Michiko, but not always) upping the violence and the other (usually Candy, but again, not always) finding a reversal to regain control for a spell. The two old enemies beat each other from pillar to post in their long-awaited first ever singles encounter, with neither holding the advantage for more than a minute or two at a time; by the time they spilled to the outside, Candy was bleeding from the nose and mouth, while Michiko's eye was starting to swell up.

At ringside they used the apron, steps and railings to batter each other still further and it was here that the hardcore brawler Yamada seized definitive control, leaving her opponent a beaten heap. Michiko was smart about avoiding a countout or disqualification, making sure to stay within the rules just enough to allow the match to continue, while still maximising the pain she could inflict on Candy. Once she finally got her back in the ring, she notably started using some of the moves she exclusively reserves for joshi opponents, including a stalling brainbuster, an exploder suplex into the turnbuckle and a tiger bomb, all of which picked up falls so close that the audience audibly gasped when Candy (barely) kicked out.

Candy wouldn't stay down, throwing wobbly strikes wherever she could, and she managed to even get a near fall of her own with a huracanrana. When Michiko went for an inverted STF, Candy managed to roll her over and set in the Sparkling Crab! But Michiko had the move scouted and before Candy had it fully locked in, Michiko kicked her away and dumped her on her head with a German. Candy came back with a roaring backfist, only for Michiko to respond in turn with a huge Yakuza kick as Candy struggled to capitalise in time! Michiko sank to one knee, studying Candy as she got her breath back and preparing herself for her deadly running knee strike - the same move she used to finish off Suzume. She charged in, aiming squarely at Candy's temple...

...Candy caught her, and using Michiko's own momentum, threw her into the air with a bench press! As Yamada fell back to Earth Mitsuyoshi reared back and caught her with a knee strike of her own, straight to the face! The super Go To Sleep knocked Michiko out cold, and Candy fell across her hooking both legs deep to pick up the victory, to the shock of many in attendance!

WINNER: Candy Mitsuyoshi (18:24)

CruZe then slid in after him, but ended up getting caught with a high impact spear! Blackfire then went for the cover and got the three count as Figgins watched!

After the match, Blackfire exited the ring, while Figgins took the Pure title and set it on his chest.

Picking her up, Christensen places LeCavalier in position for The Accelerant, before drilling her skull first into the canvas! She rolls LeCavalier into position for the pin and gets the three count! Rune and LeCavalier are eliminated! It’s down to two teams!

ELIMINATED - ZELDA RUNE AND MISHA LECAVALIER

Christensen and Yamamoto stood in the ring as the crowd cheered the action. The two began to trade strikes in the center of the ring as the match entered it’s climax, with Yamamoto getting the better of the exchange as she backs Christensen into the ropes and forces her to cover up. Yamamoto bounces off of the ropes, going for a Leaping Clothesline, but Christensen moves out of the way and connects with a Discus Clothesline on the back of the head of Yamamoto! She hooks the leg, and Yamamoto kicks out before the count of three!

The two continue to trade blows a few moments later as Yamamoto knees Christensen in the side, then spin kicks her right in the ribs to double her over, before connecting with a Sitout Facebuster! Yamamoto hooks both legs as she goes for the cover, but Christensen kicks out at the count of two and a half!

Back and forth these two teams go, as none of the four members are willing to stay down! The Warmaster had tagged back in and eaten a hard Roundhouse Kick from Strike, who tries to go for The Vajra (Rope Assisted Asai DDT), but he gets launched by Warmaster! He wraps his arms around Strike’s waist and deadlifts him off of the ground for the German Suplex! He goes for the pin - but Strike gets the shoulder up at the count of two and a half!

The Warmaster tags in Yamamoto, who begins teeing off on Strike with hard kicks and forearms to the chest, then connects with an Axe Kick to the back of the head. Climbing up to the second ropes, looking for the Supahasami as Strike gets back up to his feet. She leaps off..

Ricky Oswego was seen pacing backstage, the World Crown Championship cradled in his arms and the monster Nem standing behind him with his arms folded across his chest. Ricky came to a stop, turning towards the camera with an eerie smirk plastered across his face. He then turned his attention to Nem, looking up at him and studying him for a second before speaking. “We are everything they loathe.” He began, speaking to Nem, his voice just more than a whisper. Rocky continued on, saying that people like he and Nem were amongst the underestimated, the unappreciated, the shunned and forgotten; that all their lives they were cast aside, and ignored — only during the times they weren’t being ostracized.

“We were nothing.” He reiterated, his voice a bit uneasy and brimming with anger as he recalls the way that he and Nem were made to feel over the years. He closed his eyes and slowly turned towards the camera. Reopening his eyes, he lowered his gaze to the World Crown Championship. “Or at least that is what they wanted us to believe.” Ricky barked, his eyes ablaze. He said that people were afraid, because he and Nem were like mirrors and they made people see the ugly truths about themselves and he believed that was why they were so hated. Because people feared the truth; they feared the thought they might not be the person they portrayed themselves to be. Ricky promised that in due time they all would receive a great awakening and their true selves would be the final things they ever saw in the eyes of the beast before they met their eventual demise.

He said that tonight was just a precursor and the reign of the Lion was only truly beginning and that the night would serve as the inauguration for a new era of fear and terror. He begged the world to pay close attention, especially Gaia Galanos — because the fate that awaited Alysin later on in the night, awaited them all in WCS and SSWA alike. With his declaration made, Ricky let out a low sinister laugh and asked the infamous question…

“Who will save you now?”
