- Earth 719
-

Welcome to Earth 719. Here things are a bit different than what you're used to in the base Universe (or Earth 616 for your technical folk out there). History is fundamentally different for us here, so I figured I'd provide a quick rundown on how this universe functions and everything that exists in it. This world is the same as base Earth in every way up until the modern times. Key differences is heroes. See in this universe, no heroes ever existed. None that you might know anyways. Ironman, Spider-Man, Captain America, these are merely comic characters that were never real to begin with. However, people with mutant abilities were revealed in this world as well.
It started with what was known as the Great Nuclear Catastrophe that occurred in the 1970's. Upon a miscommunication, a quarter of the world's nuclear arsenal was launched in a chain reaction by their respective governments. This attack scarred the planet and brought it to the brink of destruction. However, it also dawned the first mutants in the universe. In this world, there came a man that became a global legend for his sacrifice. His name was Charles Xavier. I know that for you reading this, your Xavier was a extraordinary telepath, but that wasn't the case for our universe. Here he had the ability to absorb and heal damage caused to things around him. He mutation was so powerful that he became known as The First Omega. After seeing how decimated the world was around him, he stood atop Mount Everest and began to absorb all the radiation clouds and damage that had stained the planet after the GNC. He restored much of the world around him and removed all the radiation from the world in total. However, by doing such an intense act of that scale and magnitude, his body was unable to remain stable, and he ended up succumbing to all the poison that once coated the Earth.
After his death, twelve omega mutants from around the world gathered in what used to be the country of Norway to hold a meeting. The twelve decided that they would also act to preserve the world, and in turn make sure that history would never repeat itself. All twelve had extreme respect for The First Omega and refused to squander second chance Xavier gave the world at the cost of his own life. So, the group of twelve omegas (which later became known as The Twelve) decided to use their extreme powers to dissolve all the remaining world governments still standing, and divide up the Earth into twelve zones. Each omega mutant would be responsible for one of the zones around the Earth. Around the center of the zone, each Omega built a guild hall which functioned based on the powers of the omega. Here is where people in the region would send their help, and eventually how missions were formed. Each of The Twelve had powers similar to the twelve Titans of mythology, and as such, their guilds were named after the Titan they shared powers with. |

- Faction Information
-
Factions are a unique opportunity that is being brought to this roleplay in an attempt to create a better team system and an easier way to identify general character strengths. There are a total of three factions in the Hyperion Guild. They are the Survival Faction, Covert Faction, and Combat Faction. Periodically, placement tests will be held to determine which faction a guild member will be most useful towards. Once that is done, factions are used to organize teams for missions. Each team is required to have on member from each faction in order to embark.
|
| Survival Faction: The Survival Faction is for those more specialized in survival and endurance for the group they are in. This is the most broad of the three factions, as it can include anything from healers and wilderness experts, to those to avoid combat and prefer negotiation. Those who are assigned to this faction will specialize in missions that require users to explore harsh terrain or deadly environments. | | | | Covert Faction: The Covert Faction is for those more specialized in stealth and manipulation for the group they are in. This faction focuses on finding alternative routes to fighting. Those who are assigned to this faction will be specialized in missions that require the team to enter areas undetected, or blending into the environment around them. Normally these include reconnaissance missions and are more subtle by nature. | | |
| Combat Faction: The Combat faction is for those more specialized in taking down opponents via brute strength or other methods for the group they are in. This faction focuses on entering combat on missions in which it is necessary to do so. Sometimes fights cannot be avoided, and that is where the combat faction shines. Those who are assigned to this faction will be specialized in missions that require the team to take out a group of enemies or a fortified structure. Normally these missions include quelling rising gangs and rogue mutants. |
