There's no evidence to believe in a god. It only makes slightly less sense that worshiping a carrot, tbh. Worshiping a god, in most cases, is like saying they created you and control you. Not having a religion is simply saying science created humans, and that you control yourself, and science + society controls pretty much all else. People that do not have religions are usually thought of as weird, but not devoting yourself to something that doesn't give you anything back is to some people, a smart decision. What does religion do for society? It has been proven that it does not rise morals. It is a cause for more than half of wars. Probably billions of lives have been lost over it. I'm not going to kill someone because they don't accept science. I just know they're not as intelligent. But a religious person may devoutly defend their religion, and that is where a lot of tension on society is. I'm not meaning to insult anyone here, but these are my views. We would be better without religion, if it was taken away right now, I believe. Go ahead and post your beliefs. |

In response to the first thing: Faith is the belief in something without proof. Do you believe in strings? (See string theory) Is there any proof? No. A lot of times there is an affect that seems very god-like, but there's still no direct proof. Do you believe in Gravity? You see it effecting people and objects, but do you believe it's there? Second: What created science? The Big Bang is the accepted theory right now, but honestly, what the f***in' h***? With you comment about a corrot[offtopic] "Worshipping God is no different than worshipping a carrot tbh,"[/offtopic] do you really think that the entire seemingly infinitley huge universe was contained in an infinitely small ball, that exploded and created all energy that ever was and ever will be and all matter that was and will be? And if you think about it, wouldn't you call that ball that created everything in it's own way God? Think about it, "in the beginning the great ball was alone. Then it created the heavens and the Earth, and the stars made compounds with the hydrogen given to them, and the planets formed etc." To me that seems much harder to believe than that a intelligent force known as god came to create and reigns over us today. To the third wierd athiest comment, not anymore! Athism and agnostisism or inactivity and doubt in Catholocism is now more common that all the other religions combined--so don't drop a pity bomb
Third, it does if you are devout in it. Seriously. If you think God's going to strike you down if you steal something and you'll go to jail, that's more of a motivation not to than just the second. And site your sources! Where has that been proven noob? And mormons DO NOT SUCK Racist. Lol. Jking. |

I don't feel like siting my sources. So there. pwnd. I believe in gravity because it makes sense to me. I guess your right, that is a sort of faith. I believe it as reason and science that explains the universe. But I don't worship gravity and science every Sunday and change my lifestyle to accommodate for it (besides being a nerd :P) And honestly, I do not believe in the big bang. I think there's other explanations out of the grasp of human minds, perhaps. So I'm not going to comment- except that it doesn't make all the much sense. Well, I saw the thing about morals on channel one. You know, people I know (specifically children) criticize me for not having a religion but have half the morals I do. I'll do more research on the morals ¬_¬ |

F*** no. Fine. I'll state my entirely correct opinion (which also completely cycnical. ) This is from the Catholic religion... or Christian... [offtopic]Idk. Does it matter? What's the difference?[/offtopic] Kay. Supposedly, by praying to God, he will answer your prayers (over time) with a yes, no, or maybe. But then, by praying to a jug of milk, you are saying that it will answer your prayers with a yes, no, or maybe (again- over time). So in other words, it's all luck. Unless you want to get down on your knees and pray to jugs of milk. [offtopic]Btw, this is my longest post that isn't spam or copy and pasted numbers.[/offtopic] |

If you don't believe in the big bang, how the h*** was the universe created then noob?! And none of this science s***, you can say "Science," All that you want, but WHAT science? And do you believe that all the s*** that happens on Earth is all just a coincidence? [rflash]LIFE[/rflash] is just a chance combination of chemicals under electricity? Our top scientists haven't even managed protoplasm, let alone an actual bacterium. And even then--how many times would a bacterium have to go over and over and over and over and over being created (I'm still skeptical about it happening by chance once) and over and over until it finally stumbled on the ability to f***in' reproduce? Deoxyribonucleic acid... look at the complexity--your telling me that happened by [size=7]CHANCE?!!?!?![/size] Life is too complicated to just happen. Also, religion and philosophy are ways of explaining the world--so far I still haven't given my religious views. I will, but right now I'm on defense mode Two options: Either reply and just say "show us your views or reply and we can continue the currently aroused debate.Let me leave you with this question: So by chance electricity stuck water with all he perfect chemicals in it that even after hours and hours of formulating scientists have not been ablte to recreate happened by chance, then happened again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and againand again and again and again and again and againand again and again and again and again and againand again and again and again and again and againand again and again and again and again and againand again and again and again and again and againand again and again and again and again and againand again and again and again and again and againand again and again and again and again and againand again and again and again and again and againand again and again and again and again and againand again and again and again and again and againand again and again and again and again and againand again and again and again and again and againand again and again and again and again and againand again and again and again and again and againand again and again and again and again and againand again and again and again and again and againand again and again and again and again and againand again and again and again and again and againand again and again and again and again and againand again and again and again and again and againand again and again and again and again and againand again and again and again and again and againand again and again and again and again and againand again and again and again and again and againand again and again and again and again and againand again and again and again and again and againand again and again and again and again and againand again and again and again and again and againand again and again and again and again and againand again and again and again and again and againand again and again and again and again and againand again and again and again and again and againand again and again and again and again and again until [size=7]FINALLY[/size] DNA came out of it and allowed it to reproduce, and then evolved by chance to the glutonous s that we are today?! Don't just say YESbecause I know you will... defend it for crying out loud!!!

I'm not talking after the first bacterium was already there, I'm talking about how the first bacterium that could multiply in the first place. Oh yeah, and [size=7]COMPLETELY[/size] off topic [offtopic]YAY! TOTALLY OFF TOPIC![/offtopic] I've noticed that all Christian religions have their own whatever form of symbolically eating the body of christ and drinking the blood... does that sound anything like [size=14]CANNIBALISM[/size] to any of you?!!?!?!?!?!?! |

Ted, in response to what you said, I'm talking about the [size=7]FIRST[/size] bacterium (let alone any that had the ability to reproduce [or that actually had the copacity to survive more than a second or two {and to metabolize}]) ¬_¬ I'm not taling about evolving once that happened (and I also think that evolution had to have some greater manipulator anyway) happened a thousand times without something sticking its hand in there to help that happen? Once again, state why you think it's possible, not just a "Yes  " K? K?! K?!!??! Yes, now I'm racist. ¬_¬ |

I already stated that. Luck. Sounds much for logical than some fatass pervert is sitting in a cloud who created all of the universe who also can answr all 6 billion peoples' prayers, and watch over each and every one of them at all times. Sounds convincing when a cynic says it, Eh? |

Scientists have been studying this for, a couple hundred years with smart methods? Maybe 1000? The universe has existed for...what? 13 billion years with TRILLIONS of planets and bodies? I doubt we are the only planet that can support life. Chances are against it. Well so we have probably QUADRILLIONS if not much more opportunities for life to be created. And we happen to have life. And don't say that it is incredibly unlikely for the Earth to be chosen, because if there is only one life planet, all life must live on it. Don;t say that, because we can't live on mars Maybe there were a couple times that a bacterium was formed and it just died. But by chance, there was one that survived, if not more. I'm sorry, but that chances are with science, not against it. My view on creation? I believe that time as we know it is a way for our minds to organize the events, causes, and effects in the universe so we can comprehend it. Age is a time-specific question, and out of our minds, time as we think doesn't exist. I'm not going to take a point on what system the universe REALLY uses- because if we could understand it, we'd be thinking like that, but we're not. So if there is no time, it can't be a specific age. The end. If that isn't true, then it's just something we haven't thought of or something non-time related that we can't comprehend. Big band makes no sense, to make something from nothing. But if an intelligent being is out there, how did IT come along, huh? Don't say they are ageless, because then you are on the grounds with agreeing with me. [offtopic]and reply to my whole post, noob, instead of ignoring it and going off on a tangent about one little thing. ¬_¬ [/offtopic] |

Well, what more specifically the MORMONS believe (I'm kind of only half Mormon,[also this is just a random accepted belief not doctrine] we'll cross that bridge when we come to it) that God used to be part of some other plan and the entire universe is one thing of its own, NOT created by God. God is the God of Earth. The rest of the universe is eeeh. Anyway, there's a Jupiter-like gas planetish thingy but smaller and more habitable called Kolob where God and aaaaalllllllllll his little angels live And if we're good and keep the commandments, one day we'll get to have our own little planet that we run too  The origional God of the universe remains anonimous. I think that God is more of a force or a concept, not an actual humanoid like person.Oh yeah, God's a chick. I believe dat too. |

Sorry to say this, but some Mormon beliefs greatly differ from the rest of the Christian Church. However, that is thinking outside the box, lol. |
