On my Macbook Pro, I currently run OS X Yosemite. I really hope OS X El Capitan rejuvenates my computer.
    El Capitan?

Oh my gosh when did this happen?

This deserves it's own topic... splitting.

    Split.

Okay, seriously. I totally missed any news of this. This looks amazing (though I'm not a fan of the name, I'll get over it).

The new Notes app might just be one of my favorite things. And Split Screen, I've wanted that ever since I got a Macbook. Thank the heavens.

Hopefully both OS X El Capitan and iOS 9 can fulfill their promise of increased efficiency, performance, and stability. Both OS X and iOS were somewhat slacking in that regard this past iteration.

I think Yosemite did a pretty good job as an update, iOS 8 wasn't that great I'll admit.

Do they have a release date set for either of these? I'd imagine the fall sometime, given Apple's usual timeline.

Interesting. This looks like a good update, indeed.

Yosemite definitely increased waiting time for launching applications. At least for me. You might have a better computer and not notice it as much.

You are correct in thinking fall. That's all we know for now. I'd assume somewhere in September.

My Macbook isn't a year old yet, so that could be why I haven't noticed any increased wait time. It certainly loads faster than my Windows laptop did.

I only had Mavericks (I think that was the one before Yosemite) for a month before Yosemite came out in a stable version and I upgraded to it. That's how new my computer is. :P
