Post a picture of your workspace!

Don't mind the floral wallpaper - I'm living in a rented property at the minute so we're unable to redecorate.

Right now my workspace is just my laptop on my lap, on my bed. :P

This is my workplace. Ikea desk with lamp and storage space above. A 15.6" Acer laptop running i5 with an SSD and 8GB of RAM. A new 24" monitor and an old iPad on an iPad stand. Also, I have the small square paper and two little fake plant pots.

    So do I.

Love the clean walls (I hate the floral wallpaper in our house!)

Thanks man. I'm a little OCD about keeping clean so not surprised you're jelly :D

Yeah. I'm not a fan of your walls either :snicker: I'll probably be painting mine this summer to spice them up a bit. Most likely add in a nice spray-painted pattern in front. Some motivational words or something.

On to another note though. Do you guys know what I can do to change my display settings so that grey becomes grey and not the current blue tinge it has. I've changed contrast and brightness and it's helped a bit because before it was just white, but as it became less contrast-y :r (not a word) the blue is visible. Anyone have any experience with this?

I plan to invest in a large whiteboard like junkbots, that size or larger.

Sometimes you just need to have an offline space.

Trust me man. It's a worthwhile investment. :) I keep notes on it, important info, I do rough work on it. What I want to do though is coat the back wall with this type of stuff which allows you to use whiteboard markers on it and was them off. No need for a whiteboard then.

I've heard about that stuff. Whiteboard paint, basically.

I'll be living in a college dorm though, so I can't really do that.

You can't see it on my picture, because it's behind me, but there's a pin-board that takes up the entire wall. Sort of the same principle. I work on there and keep bits I need on there. Would echo the need for an offline space. I do have a similar sized whiteboard too, but decided not to put it up because I only need the pinboard.

Just a question cause I don't really know how it works with dorms. Aren't you allowed to decorate at least a little bit? I mean, I see it in movies all the time. Maybe there are rules as to what you can do and maybe they might let you :)

Ooo! That's interesting Lewis. Can you take a picture and show us? Is it just a normal cork board?

It is just a normal cork board with some fixtures on the sides to allow it to be screwed into the wall.

I'll get a picture as soon as I can - I'll have to think carefully and take some things off it - there's some personal information on there.

junkbot - I can decorate, just can't paint the walls. The building I'll be in this upcoming year is freshly renovated and has some neat possibilities. All along the walls is a "nail strip" so I can hang stuff up without putting holes in the walls (also not allowed). And every door has a small whiteboard next to it on the outside of the room. Certainly state-of-the-art as far as residence halls go.

Ah okay! Makes sense then.We good luck with it. I guess if it's a smaller whiteboard you can hang it up using those removable plastic hook things. I can't remember what they're called. Most whiteboards have something to hold them up. Mine does at least.

I intend on finding a way to get a large one hung up. There has to be a way.
