Posts: 1,011 Group: Assisstant Admin Member #46 Joined: March 29, 2008	Chapter One Geyne was like most of the other students at his school over worked and depressed, although a high achiever he was a slacker his mother always managed to let him know at the end of each day. This week was rather worse then most because not only was he dumped, his father died and it was his birthday not to mention what was just about to pass. He walked into the kitchen where a note reading "Be back in an hour, Love mum ." He sighed as he threw his bag down before reaching the computer where he began playing computer games, till the back round noise of his television cut to an emergency bulletin. Standing away from the computer he walked over to the television in the room adjacent, the screen showed hordes of people running towards the camera which was mounted on a car. Shocked that what he had seen in movies many time previous was actually real, he freaked out and ran to the cupboard where his father's service rifle was kept. He expected zombies to be at his front door but the streets were deserted, he ran over to his neighbor's house he stood at the door "Ellie, Ellie its me Geyne!" The door was thrown open and Ellie was standing there with an extremely long knife was in her hand as well as blood on her arm "What happened?" Tears were now running down Ellie's face "Mum she..she..she was one of them and I killed her." Geyne was shocked to hear this but they needed to get off the streets quickly "Come on Ellie lets go". They hurried through his yard and up to the house he released the dog form its chain and it followed them. They had barricaded the doors and other entrances to the house it hadn't taken them as long as they had thought it would, the only zombies they had seen were on the television which was currently screening "Dawn of the Dead" Geyne had thought it odd of Ellie to pick that movie out of his extremely large horde of DVDs. He had tried to get in contact with his mother on her mobile but it without fail every time he called it would ring out, just when he was going to give up hope his car pulled up in the driveway. He lighted up it was indeed his mother's car he ran to the door and began moving the blockade that is until he heard Elli scream out run. He looked out the window to see his mother flanked by the two most unlikely people on the planet the girl he had fantasies about and her father, they were being chased by half the neighbourhood. Geyne moved the blockade quickly opening the door and shutting it momentarily after his mother and their guests passed through. He acted with speed pushing the blockade back but not before a zombie arm punched a hole in the stained glass window "Fuck!" he shouted as he took aim at the zombies head. The head splattered sending his neighbour falling backwards he pushed more of the barracade in front of the door before muttering quietly "Sorry Dawn." After inspecting his mother for bites after being quite paraniod about the whole situation he inspected the other two which was not his dream job but it had to be done. Luckily for them they had returned bite free, he returned to the lounge room where he continued to watch Dawn of the Dead. The girl Jess was her name sat next to Elli and his mother sat next to Jess while Jesses father sat next to the dog. Geyne was all alone on his lounge perhaps because he was still holding a rifle he didn't care about it that much. He went to the kitchen to look at the food supply thank god mum had just done her shopping yesterday he thought but the food here would not feed five people and a dog for a week. Geyne had to choose one person to eliminate that was easy Adam but Jess may destest him for it so he decided to bide his time, you may ask why Adam a perfectly healthy man probably stronger then Geyne well not really Adam had parkinsons. This meant the man couldn't hold a gun or fire with any accuracy he was a burden at the moment and until he proved useful he was on Geyne's to kill list.
