Do you think that zombies will be able to infect non-humans. Will they be able to infect only certain species of animals like a dog or cat. Or will they be able to infect larger creatures such as horses and bears. What is your take on this whole zombie animal craze |

All depends on their origins, say if it were a virus and it mutated sure it could infect whatever it wanted to. |

Like Feeney said, it depends on exactly what "it" is. I'd like to think it'll be limited to several species, not all creatures share the same genetic make-up, making mutation more difficult. |

Yes i believe the same thing. i think that if it does branch out to animals that it will be animals who have similiar DNA set up. it is hard for any virus to branch out over several species in a matter of a short time. If it does branch out to all living creatures i believe that it will take several months to years for it to effect everything on the planet. |

Depending on the virus that it would most likely originate in animals, then mutate to infect us because you know the human race is curious and instead of destroying said virus they keep specimens and study them. Then there is a lab accident and zombies overpower the guards and everyone is to slow to react. If the virus were in rats there'd be no stopping it, once a virus is in the natural plauge carriers well it is as good as spread. Like infected person gets on a plane, gets off a zombie. Zombie mongs on a rat and the rat spreads it to the other rats, then the virus sends them off after people. I wonder if this makes the virus sound sentient. |

I doubt it will effect other animals. Not saying it's not possible, but I sure hope it's not. I think of a zombie animal doing shit like this.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Fk6-3f_mqU |

Zombie rodents would absolutely be the worst. Rats can squeeze their way almost anywhere, and im not sure how sticky traps and arsenic will do against zombie rats |

Yeah rats would be pretty damn terrible, I think that there wouldn't be an effective quarantine for that and the globe would quickly be infected. I think we all know zombie insects would be terrible also, zombie mosquito's. Well they'd more then likely just carry the blood and spread the virus like they do malaria and elephantiasis. |

Incense coils, bug spray, mosquito nets and rat poison lots of rat poison. Inventory to fight major plague carriers. |

how would you plan to get the rats to ingest the poison? if they hunger for human flesh and blood that is... or maybe zombie animals would attack those of their own species |

I don't think they'd crave human flesh but the virus would target humans and others of their own and other species depending on the viruses will. Say it'd attack its own kind to spread the virus further and it'd infect humans because well thats what the virus tends to target. Perhaps we're a longer lasting host. I'd probably use mouse traps and fire, thats how they cured the last plague caused by rats. Burnt the buggers. |

sounds solid, im thinking some sort of sticky traps... ones that are pretty flammable would work miracles. they get stuck, and all you do is drop them in the trash bin and drop a match. |

Yeah those super adhesive strips, you'd need quite a few. I was thinking that if there were zombie rodents, you'd probably want those rubber Hazmat suits you don't want them getting in. Sure it'd decrease maneurability but I'd rather be a bit slower the be rat chow. It'd probably be smart to go through your home/fortress whatever with some sealents and seal all the holes, then perhaps cover the walls in corragated iron. Just to make sure they can't get in. I think having multiple species of zombies would make survival much less likely, unless they rot at the natural rate which is what I'm crossing my fingers for. |

oh yes, id would make liberal use of chicken wire, like over vents and such. yeah, of course if the zombies are the slow moving kind, most bigger animals wont be a problem. |
