I've been into classical music all my life... check out Rachmaninoff, he's like the heavy metal of classical music it's really awesome. especially his 3rd piano concerto (here's a video of one of the best parts in that song) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=is4FOARyexo he also has some really good sonatas and preludes.
