****, your improving mate. Even if I think I know exactly how it was made, it's really nice., one the second one you should lower the opacity of the coloring and erase some of it. |

Parts of it look oversharpened, and the first one is definitely better because the render's far too dark in the other one. |

To be honest, I'm really surprised and impressed by how much you've improved. You don't usually see stuff that good in GIMP. Of course, that's mainly because those who are really good have moved on to photoshop but that's pretty good, the two sigs you have up there. One thing you need to work on is lighting. There doesn't seem to be any given light source yet you can see that there's a profound light shining on the render. Just search for different methods of lighting for GIMP because they can be a little different between different software. Overall, they're both very nice, but the first one is for the win. The second is a bit to dark. »»Jay«« |

Well the v1 is a little too bright and v2 is too dark. Id say you put a B/W gradient map on the first version and then put it on multiply and lower the opacity to about 40-50% Also try to blur the background a little, maybe a lil smudging whould do the work. Anyways like Jay said, you also need to add some lighting. You can see the render already has some lighting on it so you should try to follow that. |
