Character's Name's: Zeligh Level: 16 @ 8hrs played. Class: Mini! Have you read the kinship rules? That I have, and i understand them fully. Try to answer these questions in your post: How old are you? I will be 27, in December. Officially started MMOs at age 21. What geographic location (or time zone) are you playing from? I live in Victoria, Australia. My time zone is Aest (gst +10) What is your past MMO/LOTRO experience? I have actually only been playing LOTRO for about.... 5 hours. As far as MMO experience, There is a fair bit. I have played WoW for 5+years, including the Beta of Vanilla WoW. All that time, I spent playing serveral classes, mastering a couple, and raiding my testies off. There is no content that is in wow that I have not completed pre-nerfs, outside of Naxx40 and Cthun out of AQ40. I was at one time rated top 10 of my class spec in the world (Moonkin). What are you looking for in a kinship? A new and fun experience. WoW has become too casual friendly and the content is a joke. Even the hard content. IT is just getting worse and worse, so I decided I would try my hand at a different MMO. IM not looking for extreme raiding, but stable groups... stable guild... no nonsense when it comes to taking care of business, but plenty of nonsense outside of said times. Are you looking at end game content? With a hungry glaze over my eyes... this is all new and fresh to me. I cant wait to raid. If so what are your best raiding times? AEST evenings. Did anyone in this Kinship refer you here? Someone outside of the kinship refered me, actually. I was asking around for a solid Australian based raiding kinship/guild, and a person directed me to AGOW. Tell us a bit about your RL self? I am an American born, Australian perm. resident. I am 26 year old husband and father of 2. I love puzzles and figuring things out. I tend to obsess over things that actually manage to grab my attention, which tends to make me one of the best performers in anything I choose to do. I dont believe in modesty, and I dont believe in lies. I am probably one of the most honest individuals most will ever meet.... brutally honest, at times. What brought you to apply for AGW? As I said, looking to start something new and fun. I randomly picked this server to start on... and as luck would have it there is a decently established guild that has teh potential to play at my own timezone. I havent heard anything negative about the kinship, and so far I like what I see. Anything else? I understand that someone so new to the game... so low in level... so overall green to this whole thing is not the most ideal situation to accept. However... I get focused on whatever it is that I do. Figuring out how everything works and operates is only a matter of time, and once I have it all down... I can be one of the most productive and reliable and skillful members on the roster. Playing LOTRO makes me feel even nerdier than playing WoW. Nerdier than sitting down and playing DnD tabletop. Nerdier than dressing up as a vampire and roleplaying the character amongst 100 others doing the same... I love it, so far. LOL. |

Being new to the game is no hurdle to joining us. Keep in mind that most of us are very much at end game so may not be able to group as much as you like. Having said that, we all tend to have characters spaced throughout the gamut of levels and will normally swap if needed and not busy (with new content out right now we tend to be busy, so don't take the next few weeks as normal) BTW, we don't take anything much seriously even raiding. Well, that has been my experience anyway. Never once have I been in a raid where someone wasn't taking the piss continually. And we really need another decent Mini at the top. I'm sick of being the only one. Thadoctor couldn't find his arse with both hands and a map with a big letters saying "HERE IS YOUR ARSE" Maybe if he had a decent book like mine. |
