:shudders: You poor sod. I will never, ever go back to nursing. I hope you enjoy poo. BTW, when you get placements do everything you can to get into a nuero ward. That's the cushy ward. ID can be easy work too but you have the disadvantage of it being ID. Pallative is hard. Psycho-geri is a nightmare. Plastics can be a bit awful as well. Ortho is heavy work, but easier than it used to be. If you are looking for work while studying the best way to pick up some cash while learning what to do is do some bank as a orderly/PCA. I actually worked as a mortuary attendant for a while when studying and that was easily the best thing I ever did. Aced my anatomy exams. (mortuary attendant assists an anatomical pathologist with autopsies) I'm now working in IT after 15 years of nursing. So much happier. |
