BALTHAZAR'S ACADEMY STUDENT APP
Habboon Name: Racist Forum Name: Mike
Timezone: GMT
Character Name: Nefas Character Age: Unknown
Study Path: Curse Breaker
Character Race: Kin of the Cosmos ----Cosmic Portals: Envoy of the ultimate gods which lurk beyond the veil of the cosmos, Nefas is able to draw upon their power to unleash the force of cosmic energy upon his enemies. By opening portals into the deep cosmos, Nefas can bring through bouts of cosmic energy which he can then direct at his opponents as a form of ranged combat. These bouts of energy can take the shape of thin wisps of light which rocket toward his foes, cutting into them with the speed and power of arrowheads, or larger and slower clumps of cosmic stone which seek to batter his opponents into submission. Only one portal can be opened at any time, but up to three of the wisp attacks can come out a single portal at once.
In close range combat, Nefas is considerably weaker, resorting to more desperate measures to ensure his safety against incoming foes. He is able to summon a portal by the side of one of his tenebrous overlords in order to momentarily draw through some of the writhing tendrils which make up their mass. These tendrils thrash out in front of wherever Nefas points the attack, being used to knock enemies back and cause physical damage where the enemy is exposed. Through the same method of using cosmic portals Nefas is able to teleport, although this takes too long to be used in combat and is used exclusively for traversing the academy.
----Eldritch Truth: The kin of the cosmos are closely tied to dreams and illusions, granting Nefas the power to step inside the minds of his opponents upon making eye contact with them. Provided they do not have some form of mental immutability or other such mental resistances, Nefas can conjure up a whole number of visions to confuse his opponent. He is fond of making copies of himself, producing deafening drones and screams to disorient his foe and even conjuring images of the eldritch truth to stun his opponents in awe, or send them into a state of extreme mania. This state of mania lasts for around 5 minutes, and can either cause a frenzy or a mental breakdown depending on the victim's natural disposition. After this, the victim will feel sickly and impure, as if afflicted by some minor sickness, although this effect wares off after an hour. The only notable long lasting effects are an uncontrollable shuddering of the head for the next day or two, and the inability to recollect the nature of the illusions. Depending on the victim's mental fortitude, they may feel an unusual writhing sensation in the head when looking upon Nefas after the initial attack.
------Eye of the One Beyond: This eye, attached to a pendant around the neck of Nefas, acts as a sort of compass. It constantly looks in the direction of powerful living beings, giving Nefas a rough idea of where to go to find them.
------Augur of the One Beyond: The Augur of the One Beyond is a small item used by Nefas to channel one of the whip like tendrils of his god, allowing him to use it freely without the need of constant re-summoning. Nefas employs this tool when forced into hand to hand combat, allowing him to focus his portals on other types of attacks while still having some melee capability.
Character Personality: Nefas is inquisitive and studious, often stalking other students and members of staff in an attempt to gather as much information he can on human culture. It doesn't seem to have any real hostile intent but may be tempted to provoke a powerful individual in an attempt to test their capabilities.
